I read another post where the owner of the herd had said he was going to send them to slaughter, but it's rumored that he was saying it to garner public sympathy so that they would be adopted more quickly.  I can't believe they'd let them go to slaughter after all the trouble they went through to rescue them.

How many times do we feel trapped only to realize the barrier we perceived was not what we imagined when all that was needed was a bit of encouragement to keep going.
