Hello A/all, In 2000, I moved out from my ex-wife and the house my income purchased, and filed for divorce the month prior to the internet company I worked for went belly-up during the dot bomb leaving me underemployed picking up jobs in the harbor every so often. So there I was fighting to get a job with a zillion unemployed internet dweebs with my job skills. The three most stressful things in a person's life: 1) Loss of a relationship. 2) Loss of employment. 3) Moving. Over the next 6 years, I fought tooth and nail to remain employed, support myself, continued to overpay child support to my ex-wife, and worked in the harbor as a longshoreman whenever possible. I also started doing the women's self defense which was something I was heartbroken (health issues) to have to retire from in 1993. I asked my doctor in 2002 if I could do it again and she said it was a bad idea to be kicked in the head repeatedly, but that yes, I could. I am thankful for the tenacity I have which makes me, when the chips are down, to fight tooth and nail to overcome adversity. I am also thankful that despite the zillions of reasons I have to make my ex-wife's life a living hell because of her actions, I prefer to just turn the other cheek and walk away. And I am especially thankful that through it all I have kept my sense of humor as the sardonic smart-ass I always wanted to be. Sinergy
