did you ever consider the reason my be they feel if you dont take care of yourself how are you going to take care of them? I look for two things in a Dom Intelligence and Tall I like tall men. A quick mind will capture my attention and heart even if I know he is not right for me but I am learning it takes more than talk to be a good Dom but he still needs to be tall. lol

In reading Your profile i see a couple who is looking for an occasional play partner, "just friends" without any desire for a poly household or ownership. If You do not offer ownership then how can You truely be her "Master"? When a sub says she will do for her Master, that could easily indicate she seeks actualy ownership in a permanent relationship not a play date. i can only speak for myself but if i were wanting a casual play date i would probably be more picky about physical attraction since the physical is all that is being offered.

The scene involves a hella lot of bitching, disputes over 'twue' subbiness and domliness, my kink is better than your kink etc.

Perves are spookily similar to everybody else in this regard.

We're probably worse, because the scene creates a situation where there are a lot of terribly frustrated people. (It perpetuates what is probably an illusion about the economics of supply and demand amongst partners)

i agree with you. Or are we only a true sub/slave if the only thing that turns us on is the power exchange? if i take care of my body, i want a Dom that does the same...

Oh it doesn't matter turns us on. It only matters that the first dominant that happens to get to us finds us arousing and that we please him. As long as we please him in every way and are perfect we are true submissive. Otherwise we are evil fakers and if we want to wait for dominant that actually enjoys the things we like then we are terrible and not "lifestyle"!

Personally, I feel that anything worth having is worth protecting. You aren't protecting yourself (for your future master if you will) by hopping onto a plane to meet Joe Smoe who happened to e-mail you with a set of orders.

Maybe because Tom Cruise and Antonio Banderas exude confidence? I have never condsidered myself on their par with physical attractiveness but I know what I have to offer as a person. I am confident in who I am. I suppose that may be the element that attracts others. Look inside yourself and become confident in who you are and you may see a change in how others react to you.

Honestly I don't think he needs encouragement. He needs a reality check. He e-mailed me a series of long, very rudely and badly typed e-mails telling me to "let him submit to you girl", because obviously my dominant isn't really a dominant if we choose each other equally. The only way to prove dominance is to hit a woman over the head and drag her back to your cave. Also, he began telling me we were too young, we clearly didn't know anything and started betting that my dominant would be cheating on me in an year. Guess he wasn't too confident. He was only willing to bet a dollar... *Grins*

Just me, but there is nothing wrong at all with wanting to be attracted to the one you will surrender to. Sure, dominance alone is a very attractive quality but it isn't the only thing. i'm totally attracted to my Daddy in every way and if i weren't then it wouldn't be possible for me to be submissive to him. His dominance is totally attractive too but that wouldn't be enough.

just an idea, since in a lot of D/s or M/s relationships, sexual service will be required. Kind of hard to play cock worship with a guy that doesn't turn you on, although a Dominant male could possibly accept sexual service without having to do it with much interest or gusto.

i have watched this thread since it was started...today, i am inspired to write.
Physical chemistry as well as compatibility are as important in a D/s M/s relationship as they are in a vanilla relationship.

If a Dom/Master takes care of himself physically, it shows me he might have control over all areas of his life and therefore can control me. This is important to me in a relationship. For example, my Master is very physically active and studies various forms of martial arts, currently going for a double black belt. The self discipline this takes gives me confidence in his dominence of me.

Anyway, your profile makes it seem you are just looking for subs to play with and not to master...so i find your question a bit serious for what you are looking for. No sub/slave on this site owes you their submission unless they have agreed to be YOUR sub/slave.

Also , i would like to say something about definitions...each person and each relationship is different...what one person considers slave, another would not. if a person identifies with a title/catagory that is their choice and should not be challenged. i have been told i am not a slave, but it took the right master to see behind my walls and "know" what i am...for Him, i am slave.

It could mean that they would do anything for their master. And as you aren't *their master* they are are being reserved. Are you certain it's the picture that is the issue here and not the fact that they don't actually know you?

I think I may be understanding you wrong. If so I'm sorry but what you seem to be asking is "Why do submissives not like me because I don't look all hot and prudy"? OR "Why do submissives have a "looks" prefrence"?

The submissive has a right to chose. She stated in her profile she was ready and willing to submit. NOW.......that doesn't mean she is ready and willing to submit to ANYONE. It means she is looking and ready to proceed with her match.

Put me in the shallow catagory if ya want, but I do look for looks. Not at first, personailty is first, morals is second. Looks are diffrent for everyone. Most men I get gaga over are not seen by the whole world as hot, but something about them to me is smokin.

Sex sells. We have said that. Plus we are biologically responsive to certain physical attributes. Babies respond better in clinical tests to symetrical woman rather than asymetrical ones. It's just the way we are made.

I have over looked a Dom on a first meet before. He was a jerk and the fact that he looked like a car wreck helped a lot in the deciding factor. I have also passed over a few good looking Dom's because of attitude.

I encountered this same attitude doing the online dating thing in the vanilla world. I guess we're supposed to be grateful to be given the opportunity to serve someone, so who cares if we're not attracted to them or might even find them repulsive? Nope, not happening!

Who doesn't want an attractive mate? But what we all consider to be attractive is an individual thing.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not so overcome with my desires to submit that I'd just submit to any ole person to satisfy that need!

I don't know if you realize this, but your profile says you are a couple, and that might be working against you more than your looks. I've never dated anyone who looks like Tom Cruise or Antonio Banderas, but than again, I ain't a sub.

I think that the fact that you e-mailed Aquatic with an obviously judgmental, negative letter says a lot. It seems from what she says that you look at submissive women as being "lesser" and hold yourself very highly. Look at the signature on her posts, for it is very true. I,for one, would never be with a man who thought that because I was submissive, I was unworthy of love, inable to have my own thoughts, or that I owed them something though we have never met.
All due respect, I think we have found your problem, and it is not the pictures. It seems to be your attitude, and neither Tom Cruise nor Antoinio Banderas would have me if they acted like that.
