I defaced my Dom here - a little while back, and I wish to correct it. In this sub forum I, from time to time, ask/vent about what is bothering me. I hope I use tact in the majority (at least) of my posts/replies.

I am opinionated, no doubt - this I cannot change, and do not wish to change. I also try to always take into consideration others' feelings. My Dom's feelings were disprespected in one of my posts - and He was referred to as "this dom".

I'd be horrified if I were referred to as, "this sub", as we are so much more to one another.

I know two of us care that this is "out there". It's more important that it was fixed "in here", anyway, thanks for listening

Sometimes it can be difficult to bring things to a public forum. Did you use that terminology as a way of giving your Dom some anonymity? At any rate, if you ever need to "sub" talk, feel free to pm me.

Thanks Katy - I actually did not use that terminolgy at all - I just failed to correct when someone else used it.

Best thing is to make it up to them directly.

Worst thing to do is dredge it up again when everyone else has completely moved on from it.

I do not wish for converstion about it - I just had to send this out into the Universe the same way the other message was sent to "make amends".

Where did you get that logic from? You embarass someone with an online message, and you try to make up for it by reminding everyone of the embarassment?

Really- just go directly to the source, they are the ones who matter here.

I think LA is right here. You often just stir stuff up all over again when everyone else has moved on. You feel badly about it...apologize sincerely and make sure it doesn't happen again. I understand your reasoning to want it out here, but you can't be sure that the same folks that read it in the first place are now reading this thread so unless you plan on sending this out somewhere in the ethernet, I don't know if you've accomplished your goal.

I agree. If you think that you are responsible for what other people say, then you are going to be making amends a lot in life. Let other people own their own stuff and don't take responsibility for it.
