Vaginismus is NOT the same thing that these whackadoos are claiming is "vaginal tenting."

I did not mean, in any way that the two are related. "Vaginal Tenting" (cervical movement from excitation or whatever one wants to call it) would only come into play once his penis is emplaced and would only effect, I would think, either those with shallow entrance to cervix distances,  or those lucky fellas (some would disagree) with exceptionally long penii.  Skarredwolfpuppy mentions tightness, not depth problems.  And I respectfully suggest that rather than calling people "whackadoos" that you do a bit of research first.  Call it what you may, the placement of the cervix does change upon excitation and orgasm.   I cannot find the site that I thought was a bit odd, but which had a lot of factual stuff mixed in.  But, I will agree, that especially if there is a "herbal" remedy for everything sexual including Peyronnie's disease as one site claims, that one cast a skeptical eye on that site.

I'll say it again.  I addressed "whackadoos" as the guy (the foreign doctor) offering sexual advice to random people on the internet with his little pictures and herbal remedies like "Heat Tea" for their pussy problems like vag tenting......not you folks here.  It's only been in ALL of the posts I've made on this thread thus far.......

blackwinterbyrd -> RE: Too small? (11/26/2006 8:07:52 PM)

Um.  the cervex does pull back and enlarge the vagina upon arousal, I thought everyone knew this, whether you call it tenting or not.  There are definitely gym excercises that include the PC muscles and their neighboring groups, particularly the "knee lift" where you support yourself vertically by the elbows and forearms on a little frame and pull your knees to your chest repeatedly.  Just about any well-rounded abdominal workout will have you tensing your PC at some point.
And that painful contraction reflex, I read a pamphlet about vaginismus in the clinic waiting room.  Believe it ya'll.  Virgin or mother of ten, involuntary spasms can make penetration difficult or impossible, not to mention charlie-horse-sphincter painful.  That is not a little painful..and you said it was a little painful.  Sounds like maybe you have some irritation? swollen tissues feeling sensitive?  maybe a little post-period inflammation, swimming pools, flora troubles, underwear-free in tightish jeans, spermicide or latex reactions (ouch) and the like.  You know it could be anything, it could even be an infection or simply yeast.  If it persists, see a doctor.  First, try changing positions next time and pay close attention to your discharge and daily sensations.  If you see anything amiss, see a doctor.  no doctor?  planned parenthood!  My shining knights in armor and purveyors of sexual health to everyone who asks for it.

candle- don't feel bad, i am board certified in Ob-Gyn and not only have never heard of the phenomenon but cannot imagine the anatomic and physiologic mechanism that would allow it.  The only remotely muscular structure attached to the uterus or upper vagina is the round ligament which has only a few muscular fibers in it and the levator sling and the angle is all wong for it to "tent" the vagina.  Someone please provide a medical text that might explaini this to me.

thanks there seems to be the psuedo medical expert situation going around lately and well i never know for sure if i am just losingmy previously owned knowledgebase or if there are new and exciting things out there that i havent learned

No offense to the healthcare professionals or anything, but just because you aren't familiar with vaginal tenting doesn't mean I'm a "whackadoo".

I'm not claiming that I am most definitely right about this.  It's very possible that the multitude of websites that I have visited about this bodily function were completely wrong and that it doesn't exist.

But...just because you haven't heard of it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Ren  i didnt say it didnt exist  just that i didnt know what you were talking about  a BIG difference

okay now that i have seen the pictures and yes a picture is worth a thousand words  ...okay i think that what you call tenting is basically what we all call arousal...i never heard of it being called tenting and well it doesnt make anysense to have it called such  but well what ever..i woul dhave thought that tenting would have been soomething where the is a prolapse kind of thing goign on whereby there are thign falling down from above due to a pysical weekness...been there done that got that fixed and moved on.

okay  yes indeed in myself as well I believe that when i am fully aroused that wonderous spot where the g spot is mysteriously supposed to be located well when the river is full flowing with lust and desire. Well at that time then for the most part that area is indeed softer and not as tense...i would gusess that is what you were refering to  as tenting, yes??

well i was aware of that for yers...I had some reconstruction surgery years ago becasue i have too many kids for my body and had all sorts of things falling down out of me that were supposed to be in there...and had my entire wazoo rehung an so  now i am tighter than i was when i was 16...and well now i am unable to have intercourse in a rear entry postiion, or in various other deep penetration  I believe that the OP was complaining of the tightness factor...which is usually a  tighness around the penis  NOT a depth issue...I always have a entry issue...and i also  have a depth issue related to additional suregery last year due to cervial cancer... so I do not like it deep  and i have a heck of a time getting a girthy one in there as well..

but as i said i believe the OP was complaining of the girth issue and so in regard to the girth thing...what i have proceed to do is the following....
1....have sex frequently  a vagina is kinda like atight pair of jeans  you can wear the size 5's if you wear the pair that you use all the time  but try puttiing on a pair that haven't been worn before and you just arent goign to get in easily them are you??...
2.  lots of lubricant  natural and other wise if necessary...I do not have a lubrication issue other than there is just too much...
3..  go slowly initially, basically if you go slowly you have a chance to take it in slowly and gradually stretch out the vaginal opening,  and trust me for those of us that are super tight...it drives the guys wild...a slow tight F*** makes a man insane.
4.  if possible be the one in control until you are stretched out enough to start the party...that way you are less likely to get tense..
5..repeat often to keep that opening from tightneing back up...

tah dah  that is my helpful hints

little red

SlaveAkasha -> RE: Too small? (11/29/2006 7:45:01 AM)

Mine almost always hurts at first, no matter how lubed or how many times we have had sex.  I am tight there, and it doesn't seem to change.  It might be you are the same way, all of us are built a bit different in that area.
