I don't hate the holidays, even though it's a stressful time of year. They became even more special when one of my UM's was born on Christmas day.

UM's = "unmentionables" as in children (shorthand way of saying kids, but since talk of kids is basically against TOS, people usually change it to "unmentionables") [:)]

I was born on Xmas eve, so I know the birthday/holiday dynamic. for me it makes no difference whether i have a significant other or not I would love to just rip off the months of november and decmber off of the calendar. Since i was a kid my mom destroyed the holidays for me...and well somethings are just not able to be changed...they were totally destroyed and well even when i was married i tried like heck to get intot he spirit and well i wen tthorugh the motions but never felt it...andnow that i am not married anymore i sooo wish the former hubby would just take the kids for the holidays and just let me be alone! it would be far easier on ME!
