Actually I'm just getting into it; I recently moved in with some friends who played and they kinda encouraged an interest, heh. It sounds pretty neat so I thought I'd give it a try.

Do you still play? I found it tiresome after about 2 years - I've not played for a long time.

Oh yeah.  There's not much I like better than running around in full armor and bashing people about with swords.  I traded in my battered SCA steel plate and rattan for NERO "hybrid" tough but ultralight black plate mail and a foam sword, and haven't regretted it since NERO has a plotline and adventure modules.

Hardcore gamer geek here, obviously.  The third pic on my profile is my Sarr character.

I'm impressed Najakcharmer!  This has shown me a completely different side of you I never would have known existed!    While I've never played a real life role-play game (interesting costume BTW), I used to be an active on-line RPG player (Diablo II was the last I had much time to play, but remember many of the text based ones as well); previously enjoying puzzle solving Adventure games instead.

I also remember the original scandals when the geniouses disappered while playing D&D inside a west coast college's underground maintenance system tunnels (UCLA or Stanford?) about 30 years or so ago!  As I recall, I think they did it during finals week, which is when we'd play Risk to relieve the tensions from all the last minute studying or having 3 tough ones nearly back to back in a single day.(sigh)

Uh.....that wouldn't have been hard to see from reading the first sentence of my profile.
