whenever i wax it only lasts about a week to a week and a half before hair begins to regrow. i am wondering if there are any hair growth inhibitors that actualy work, or are they all a waste of money? I would like to try them if they do work as well as they claim, but if they are just a novelty i will pass. annyone on here have experience with such items? thanks http://www.1bodycare.com/kalo.htm this item in particular is what i am looking at.

The best method I've known is simply continued waxing or electrolysis. Also remember that in waxing, many hairs may simply break off just below the skin line and not actually have the follicle removed- thus the hair will continue to grow as normal. The more you wax, the more often the follicle gets pulled and takes longer to regenerate and may eventually die on its own. This doesn't mean you can/should wax every other week, just that if you want the more permenent/less hair over time route, you should have regular wax treatments every 6-8 weeks. Electrolysis of course can work great, but is far more costly, risky, and requires a few sessions.

Wow, a week and and half doesnt seem like long at all [&:] I have never tried an inhibitor, I now wax, before that I used to use hair removal creams - though can be expensive and messy. The creams will usually get all the hair, though regrowth again can be quick. Have you tried re-waxing a couple weeks after the initial wax? I know when I initially began to wax I had to go a couple times in quick succession. I was told this was because not only do some hairs break off rather than get ripped off as LA has already stated, but that also some hairs may be too fine or thin when you wax to be proper gripped and therefore are left behind, when they become a little longer etc it feels as though you have regrowth. By re-waxing 2 weeks afterwards you get those "baby hairs". Eventually, hopefully once every 6-8 weeks will be all that is needed, though I find that with a brazilian it can be even longer.

Jergen's Shave Minimizing Lotion is always a safe bet, no matter how you go about removing the hair in the first place. It makes the hair grow much slower and finer.

I heard BP were developing something along these lines, but so far its not suitable for market; severe chemical burns in testing, apparently. If your hair is dark enough, then laser removal could be useful to you - much quicker than electrolysis, though no evidence so far that its permanent, as its relatively new. E

The only hair growth inhibitor I ever tried was Epilstop - That was about 5 years ago when it was on every informercial out there. The only thing I got from it was a rash.
