Pinch-hitting for LAM. (Don't work too hard, dude!)

Matins
Lauds
Vespers
Compline

Those are all offices in the canonical hours.

No way you're gonna sneak a theology question past me.  Try country music or sumfin.  I suck at country music.

Oh, my turn:

Nestorianism
Donatism
Pelagianism
Catharism

Living dangerously and making a Google-free guess. [:)]

They're all what Catholics would have considered heresies?

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/7/2006 11:38:56 PM)

If I['m right about the last quartet (and I honestly think I am), we need a new one.

So . . .

ICERvampVvvV
Sirdiscipliner69
TreSwank
ukmale

What honor do these CM dudes share?
(Not sure why I'm using dude, hardly a staple in my vocabulary, so much tonight.)

See that you do I would hate to have to spank you. Actually there is no rule I just wanted to see if it would work.

I'm always right even when I'm wrong..did you hazard a guess at the quartet?

Not a clue, alas, and it seems pretty Google-proof.

Totally random guesses:

characters in sci-fi
vibrators [:)]
software companies or dot-coms
subway lines

Not unless you were in a medical site...they're the first 4 tubes as stated by Order of Draw in Phlebotomy. I told ya class was kicking my ass. I'll leave you to post one...I'm off to bed to dream of vacutainers and butterfly syringes. Midterms are upon me so I'll be lucky to sleep let alone post in the days ahead.

I'll have to pay attention next time I have blood drawn. Good luck with your exams!

New quartet:

Mildred Lathbury
Dora Caldicote
Helena Napier
Winifred Malory

(This would also work as an odd one out. Talk about multitasking!)

Lordandmaster -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/8/2006 1:01:39 AM)

What they all have in common is that they're characters in novels by Barbara Pym.  Not sure how the odd one out would work.

True. In fact, they're all characters in the same novel, Excellent Women, which is one of my very favorite books. Helena Napier is the odd one out, since she's the only one who's married.

Your turn to post, LAM.

Aileen68 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/8/2006 11:05:25 AM)

You snooze you loose LaM.
I'll post four...

Alan Alda
Robert Blake
Danny DeVito
Martin Sheen

Lordandmaster -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/8/2006 11:06:35 AM)

Howard
Strickland
Mintoff
Adami

Lordandmaster -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/8/2006 11:07:35 AM)

I know the answer to that: they're all fucking annoying!

Admit it, you're a Google freak too.

Aileen68 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/8/2006 11:15:02 AM)

Well hell...everyone else was using google on this.

mnottertail -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (12/8/2006 12:04:21 PM)
