Our last quartet petered out, so here's a new one to refresh the thread.

Freer
Hirshhorn
Renwick
Sackler

Two of these would also work as odd ones out, for different reasons.

Latest quartet, from dcnovice:

Freer
Hirshhorn
Renwick
Sackler

Three of these would also work as odd ones out, for different reasons.

They're all Galleries or Museums in DC? The Hirshhorn one threw me because I think that one is technically a botanical garden of some kind isn't it??? It's been waaay too many years since I've been there. I'll wait until I get a confirmation that I'm right.

As usual, you're right! They're all Smithsonian art museums named for people.

Potential odd ones out:

Hirshhorn -- only one with a sculpture garden (which may be what you were thinking of)

Renwick -- only one not on the Mall (also, I think, the only one not named for a donor)

Sackler -- only one that's underground

Yes a sculptural garden! That's it. Crap now I have to post one. Give me a few minutes to think. LOL

LOL Good try but no. All the best ones are up in LA not here in San Diego. Just went to The Getty Villa a couple weeks ago for an exhibit..it was just reopened after an overhaul. Stunning. Nothing in comparison to The Smith but they really did a wonderful job on it.

It's still up for a guess

More seriously, they all seem to be names of companies.

No. I'll wait until tomorrow and see if there's a hit then give a hint. Although I am being rather specific...

Members of Pink Floyd, I think.

I'm tired, so here's an easy one:

Washington
Lincoln
Jackson
Grant

What do these Presidents have in common?

The points more making the sign of the cross, as explained in Nuns on the Run. Didn't even need Google for that one.

Kudo to Rich for (I think) our funniest quartet yet!
