The rules are listed on page 1. However to make things a bit easier the jist is that you list 4 things that have something in common. Someone else has to guess what that commonality is. If they are correct they get to post a quartet. If they're wrong it stays in play until someone else guess correctly. Pretty simple. Read a few pages and then you'll get the idea of it.

Still in play...

Louie the Lilac
Nora Clavicle
Dr. Cassandra
False Face

We have one guess for Batman villians and I think one guess for Dick Tracy villans. Since it isn't obvious then we'll get the answer from DC on whether or not one is correct and the ok to post a new quartet. No new quartet until the last one up has been answered.

As usual, Ms Jo is right! They are all lesser known villians from the greatest television show of all time—Batman.

Your turn to post, gorgeous!

Thanks for the compliment but it was littleone that posted her guess on Batman. It is her turn to post since she supplied the corrrect guess. I simply reiterated it in my explanation.

I'll give this a try. Not sure what you're looking for but are they all wars that involved the US as a combatent? Although technically Vietnam was a "conflict" not a war.

My only other guess is that these are all ground wars.

You were right on your first guess. And i was a bit leery in including the Vietnam 'conflict' to the list, but i think it got the point across.

Your turn to post, Ms. Jo

LOL Yeah, I hesitated to answer because I wasn't sure if you considered it a war or a conflict. Here goes.

Charles-Marie Widor
Charles-Valentin Alkan
Charles Wuorinen
Malcom Williamson

Sorry to jump the gun. Ms Jo! Is it that they all wrote symphonies that were not intended to be performed by symphony orchestras?

Latest quartet:

1957
1976
1991
2007
