i don't know how many Dommes are willing to leave marks on their slaves but i for one love them. i realize, however, that many subs are married or are in relationships which make it impossible for them to have marks. i, however, love seeing them on my back days after. They bring the session back to mind stimulating the wonderful experience.

Agree 100% marks have the possiblity to bring a person back to the time when they received/gave it.

True and the sting from the lash could be a sensation that lasts a few days.

When a submissive comes to me and says he's married or in a relationship with someone vanilla, that immediately takes away some of my fun. I love being able to use all the toys at my disposal without having to worry if they leave marks or not. When I play with my own personal submissive, it's a guarantee that he's going to walk away from our sessions with marks.

I love being marked, going to work knowing under my trousers and shirt I have lash marks and bruises on my bottom, keeps me smiling all day - but unfortunately I don't mark very easily so it doesn't happen very often <sad sigh>

I don't mean to be a buttinski. Maybe there is another thread somewhere on marks. But this popped up while I was doing some soul searching. I used to be so opposed to being marked. But I have found that my perception on it has changed in less than a year. I was marked my first time scening with someone and by first time, I mean first real play for me ever. At the time it horrified me and I cried so hard over the whole thing on the way home, and when I got home. But I find that as I have grown it is something that I would like from time to time. I don't know if this is normal or not....I suspect it is probably normal. And thinking about that...gosh who knows where I will be in 5 years...lol. I mean I am not really a painslut...but I do like some pain. Hmmm...maybe I am a bit of one..sigh. But of course for me it is not just about play, it means more to me than just that. Though play is a good thing.
