There have been some good threads lately about this topic...I hope you've come across them and found hope.  I'm certainly glad you posted.

I have a vague memory of a site I visited once called something along the lines of Taken In Hand......it had a slant on dominance that I thought at the time fit very well within the Bible Belt culture of my area, and a great way for a man to feel more comfortable in his natural dominance.  Maybe that might be helpful for him.

Good luck in your journey...you have a great deal of maturity for your age, which will serve you very well.
