Status: offline 		Well, it is not official as in an official signed paper contract.....

My first erotica novel is going to be published in less than 9 months. I'm excited. This seems like a logical step from my short story collections.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this info but this the forum I participate most in on Collarme.

To celebrate, (and to up your buyers market), I think you should offer members of CM the opportunity to buy your book & have it personally signed by you.  The person buying obviously pays the shipping costs, but so long as it's not a hard cover, it shouldn't be much.

congrads' on your book ;nice, to know, about the cultures newest books and, to be able hear first hand,from the author . i am also looking foward to your choice of  book cover photos( front and back cover pix) ;
if you book is somewhat biographical,especially,  from a womans perspective; be it personal experience, or embellished  fantasy ,either way ;it's, in demand ',and, therefore rare,and, there simply  are ,not, enuff written, by woman;
*recall 50 yrs., ago ,to date;
it was always asumed 'leather' is exsclusively  male ;
ya- rite; so .... i hope you get ,into DETAIL......

Interesting idea, DiamondOrchid. I'd probably do that sort of thing on my fan site on yahoogroups since those folks give me feedback as I'm writing but I doubt most of them would take me up on the offer (many of them are shy). After that offer it might be good to offer them here.

Just FYI authors tend to get a limited number of free copies of our own books and have to pay something after that. I've ran into a lot of folks who think I have this magic bad that produces them -- that would be cool!

Will do. I usually use my fan group on yahoogroups to announce these things but this makes me feel so cool that I had to share it more widely.

Well, I tend to write from a dual perspective. The dominant female character's view and the submissive (or in this case not that much from the beginnng) male's point of view. I think it's important for both views to be shown.

Of course, I'm not a submissive man so my view is probably what I wish he's think, feel, and do.

As for DETAIL -- I don't pull my punches nor do I shy away from hot or intense scenes in my writing. By the same token I do not believe that I add in unnecessary vulgarity or sex because I'm focused on characters and plots.

Sadly unless I'm wiling to throw in a criminal to do the SM most of this isn't "acceptable" to the big name publishers. I'm sure several of the other authors on this site will tell you the same thing.

With so much free porn online it can be difficult to sell paperback books even if the quality of the writing is high or the author well-known in their subculture.

That's the case for mainstream authors too -- lots published, few, very few make a great living from it.

perhaps if you put in  Blowsy (and in this case I will use it incorrectly to mean gaseous) Dommes who didn't wash their feet to often, is that the same as criminal?  You certainly would have some boys buying into that in a big way.
