Have been reading this site all day and looking at other dom/sub sites as a result of a flirt with someone I have known for a few months who was pretty clearly into domination in a very cool way...well not that I have much to judge on. I realised reading through this stuff that it actually makes a lot of sense to me and you are all (or mostly all) extremely funny - and I mean witty/ amusing so I signed up and I look forward to an education.

There are many interesting people in the BD/SM scene, and quite a few of them visit CM regularly. I enjoy the exchange of ideas that takes place on these bulletin board style forums.

As in most internet sites you will find people you like and people you do not wish to deal with. At least here you can block the negative ones.

I suggest you take in all that you read here as data, and take your time weighing things and assessing what interests you and what attracts you.

No matter how honest any of us are, if you do not understand the terms someone uses the same way they do, miscommunications can occur. A simple example of that is to take a tablet of paper and write the word love at the top. Then begin to list all the ways the word can be interpreted by different folks in different situations. There can be hundreds of meanings, and everyone tends to apply the one they desire, rather than the one originally meant.

Thank you for your kind (and wise) advice. Having read through a lot of this and other sites..I feel like I understand myself better. I am a successful executive and couldn't understand why had so many issues about control and relationships. Now I realise that this isn't anti-feminist and that being submissive takes an enormous amount of wit and confidence ... I am most turned on by the psychological aspects rather than some of the more creative physical ones in all honesty.

[:)] Our Yahoo group was just discussing submission, particularly in the context of strong women, especially those that work in demanding, professional careers. It is interesting to see the strength of the women who willingly choose to submit, and what reasons they have given. Their intelligence disproved any notion that submissives are 'less'; i'm glad to be part of their cadre.
