A 3 year old thread??...really??

Why not? Didn't Houdini regularly attend seances?

3 year old notwithstanding. My general understanding is that people who can escape are those who can fold their hands to be smaller than their wrists. Take a big pair of socks, wrap their hands around the socks, and then saran and duct tape over that. Once their hands are wider than the wrists, they can't escape. Bondage mittens do the same but cost more.

1. Type of rope. Cotton stretches, nylon is slippery. Try hemp or jute, or something fibrous that 'catches' on itself.
2. Do a little research on the knots you are tying.
3. Place the knots out of reach.
4. What are you tying him *to*? Just running a rope under a mattress probably wouldn't work.
5. Is he flexing? Like saddling a horse that is taking a deep breath and holding it, he might be holding his limb a certain way. Now, there are certain people whose wrist and the wider part by the thumb are nearly the same size, which makes fastening with rope and handcuffs difficult. In such a case, I'd use a separate piece of rope and use upper and lower arm ties as well.
6. Bind him in a position where he doesn't get *leverage*
7. Opposing leverage. I believe mentioned above...one part loosens, another part takes up the slack.

Lastly, some guys really do get off on getting out of their bondage. As long as it's a known dynamic, and its working for both of you, keep trying and have fun. If you aren't getting upset/mad with him, his escaping is really just going to make you a better roper in the long run. :)

One more thing.....WATCH how he gets out. That will tell you where your *weak* points are!

Awkward, really.  The thing is, a submale may well have a deep-down desire to be bound or locked.  On the other hand, the fascination of escaping from any confinement is just as fundamental, I think, in the human psyche.  I've watched The Great Escape every time it's come on TV (each time hoping that Steve McQueen will jump the barbed-wire fence on his bike - though he never does.)

I got a slight buzz, once, with a vanilla GF who'd locked me in handcuffs to a steel bed-post.  The buzz vanished, though, when she then laughed and said, "Right, I'm going to put the key on the wardrobe, then pop out shopping".  But I'd already learned how to get out of the cuffs - they only had a single-lever lock.  I got out of them, got the key from the wardrobe, and hid it.

She came back after twenty minutes.  On not being able to find the key, I started 'panicking' and demanding she call the fire brigade.  She panicked too, wondering what the hell had happened to the key (not to mention her memory).

Such japes.  Well, she shouldn't have laughed - I'd have it enjoyed it the other way, then.  Oh well.

Have you tried binding him with plastic cable ties.
One on each wrist then another one to pull them tight together, same for the ankles, then put in a hogtie position.  Should work................  Good luck

My sub is always teasing me because I can't keep him tied up. I thought I finally had the perfect plan. During our last session, I tied him spread eagle on my bed face down. I taped his fingers together, put socks over his hands, tied his hands with rope, then put duct tape over the rope. His feet were tied with rope and tape. He was gagged with my thong and 3 pieces of tape. He was also blindfolded with duct tape. I stepped outside for 5 minutes to smoke a cigarette and when I came in, he was sitting on my couch. How can a domme keep a male sub from escaping?

use superglue

When I am tied up, it is just not the same if I think I might be able to escape.  My former Mistress used to always make me try to escape so she knew I could not.  I am pretty elusive and could get out of even well-tied ropes, and I used to do the same thing as your sub, i.e. tease her about her inablity to keep me in check (I was an inexperienced sub and was rather bratty) so she set out to find a way to secure me for good.  Her friend suggested she start tying me with plastic zip ties.  Two around each wrist, crossing each other, and and one linking those together behind my back, plus two all the way around both wrists.  Same on ankles, with more ties linking the wrists to the ankles with my body folded up into a hogtied position.  The more I would struggle, the tighter they would get.  Smaller ones secured my thumbs to each other, each thumb to my index finger, index finger to middle finger, and so on.  The plastic biting into my skin was painful enough to make me not want to struggle.  She  then wrapped duct tape tightly several times over the wrists, hands, and ankles, and with rope tied my calves and thighs tightly together and my upper arms to my torso.  The first time she did this, it was completed with two pairs of panties stuffed into my mouth, tied over with a bra as a cleave gag, and duct tape wrapped around the back of my head over my mouth.  She beat my with my own belt and stepped on me with high heels as she told me to try to escape.  I tried desperately and there was absolutely no chance.  She left me like this on her bedroom floor for 12 hours, and there is no way I could have ever gotten free on my own.  It may have been a little bit of overkill, but it was effective.

12 hours? shit

spokanesub85 -> RE: help......my sub thinks he's Houdini (7/28/2009 7:18:56 PM)

Yeah-12 hours.  Thats the longest I've ever been tied up.  I actually fell asleep like that(I was in the military, so I can sleep anywhere)  My hands and feet were unbelievably numb.  I'm probably lucky I did not suffer nerve damage.

fadedshadow -> RE: help......my sub thinks he's Houdini (7/29/2009 5:19:49 AM)

and you went without eating or using the bathroom? jeez that's harsh

I don't get this really, if you are submissive and your dominant ties you up then why do you even try to escape it? Surely all it would need is the words don't try and escape or am I completely missing something

Yep, those were pretty much my thoughts, when I posted something like that over in the first few pages of the thread. Just tell him to be still. How hard is that? [8|]
