timeoutgurlie -> Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/2/2006 11:13:24 PM)

A topic was deemed inappropriate, and while I strongly disagree that they should have been removed, I must respect the rules, but just wanted to say without mention of the content that I appreciate both the sumbmissve women who replied, dominant women who replied, and even the men who added their two cents as well lol

It was definitely interesting to discuss and everyone who added to that was appreciated [:D]

It was an excellent thread, timeoutgurlie, and I cannot understand why the Moderators destroyed it.  It showed intelligence, thoughtfulness and had NO inappropriate postings.  Thank you for starting it.  *shrug*  You know what they say about power corrupting, don't you?

E.

timeoutgurlie -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 12:15:57 AM)

*giggles*  I received mail on the other side, and to be fair I did ask what was inappropriate, said I understood the double thread rule but not the "other", and did get an explanation with an excerpt of the TOS regarding "that".

Happy to hear another say they weren't offended by it and took an interest in it, thank you.

Was nice while it lasted lol [:)]

Wow. Hate I missed it.

Good morning beautiful, i bet you are cute when you pout.......

LaTigresse -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 5:47:18 AM)

And good morning to you gorgeous one. I don't know how cute I am, depends on wether one likes a wild pillow hairdo with the puffy face look. Personally I find it rather frightening but thats just me. And I don't know about anywhere else but, Baby it's COLD outside!!!!!! A whole 10 degrees F. this morning!

BRNaughtyAngel -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 5:53:36 AM)

Well phooey, I guess I missed it as well. [sm=frown.gif]  And I've also got the wild woman hair and a poofy allergy face going this morning. [sm=hewah.gif]

timeoutgurlie -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 6:21:37 AM)

Oh thank god, I thought I was the only who woke up to allergic face, the swelling, runny nose, halfclosed eyes...indeed, very sexy lol

It was a topic asking the women of the boards about whether or not the desire to become a mother was linked at all to indentifying as a submissive/slave or dominant, just was interested to hear the ideas/thoughts/feelings of other women.

Few men even joined in, it really was nice while it lasted, ah well, what can you do [:D]

Feel free to keep dishing about the trials and tribulations of early morning appearances, we'll just revamp and call it just as good lol [:D]

Soon it'll be time to go to bed for my ever nocturnal self, and wake up in the afternoon with the morning face and hair...I do what everyone else does, I just do it all fashionably late *giggles*

Edited to add that hopefully revealing the subject matter won't result in a majick thread that makes itself disappear [X(] *winks*

timeoutgurlie -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 6:36:40 AM)

*smacks self in forehead*

It bothered me since it was removed, the reason, that it involved children.

I couldn't make sense of it until just now, I think now I know why it was removed, and it was my fault if I'm right [:o]

I mentioned in one of the last posts on the topic that a relative of mine had chosen to be a mother while underage due to some medical problems that were bound to leave her sterile.

My best guess is that was the "inappropriate content"

Now I'll wonder a bit more...wish they'd just removed that one post if that was in fact the reason it was deleted...but then I had two, one in Mistress forum the other in Submissive to get views from each, only one had the inappropriate post, the other didn't

Great, I'm just as confused now as when I started, gotta love watching your moment of brilliance pass you by [&o]

LaTigresse -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 6:44:26 AM)

Yeah, its a touchy part of TOS. I have seen threads *poof* in that the subject was not being brought up in a manner that was specifically icky and was rather confused. However, I do understand from the moderators perspective in that it is probably one area that most feel they have to draw a fairly hard line regardless of the context. Laws being what they are, and their job being what it is, I think the phrase "better safe than sorry" probably comes into play.

timeoutgurlie -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 6:50:03 AM)

I agree, if that was the cause, then I feel badly and hope the readers didn't perceive it as condoning or promoting anything...your word icky was very fitting...anything *icky*

The duplicate thread in the other forum is a bit confusing, but the more I let the gears the more I figure it was deleted also just to rid the entire forum of anything that...icky, if they felt it was likely it would be mentioned in the other forum also.  Or just that it was a duplicate thread, and I had that in the first line that I copied/pasted the same thread to both places, which in the mail on the other the mod sent it was made clear duplicates aren't allowed.

You know, when I write out the thoughts it's probably tedious to read at times but it helps me in strange way...when I started this I was confused now a few posts down the line and reading yours...it does make sense.

So, shitty buzz to know I killed my own threads by not being careful enough or aware enough *smacks self*

Will have it in mind for sure in future topics [:)]

LaTigresse -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 7:14:12 AM)

Hey, do not feel bad. I do it while talking all the time. I call it, foot in mouth disease.

timeoutgurlie -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 7:24:27 AM)

Maybe what I need is a gag with a foot instead of a phallic recreation, might desensitize myself to this foot in mouth disease...if not, then hey, I scored a new toy, can we say win/win? [X(] *giggles*

Thanks for the kind words, still feeling disappointed and too scared to try the same topic again, but I may be less of a wuss soon enough [:)]

LaTigresse -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 7:37:27 AM)

Hey no problemo! It appears that Foot in Mouth is quite common.

Although in reading other threads there is the more common "Making an Ass/Fool of Oneself"  disease, that is to be avoided even more stringently.[:D]

I believe I have managed to subject myself to both quite well at different times.

timeoutgurlie -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 7:51:08 AM)

You know, I would've thought I'd have at least a mediocre-ly "witty" retort for just about anything, who am I kidding, ok...everything.

You've taught me a hard lesson this morning.

I'll do some drills to work on my quickness and report back tomorrow to wow everyone! [:-] lol

darksdesire -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 7:59:13 AM)

i was following that thread, and thought to give you a warning that it will be removed.  i had started a thread not so long ago regarding the "ch" word, and it was removed with an admonishment to NEVER USE THAT WORD!.  lol.  They are extremely strict about it here..it doesn't seem to matter what context it is used.  On the one hand, i find that rule to be extremely rigid, and it cuts out the ability to discuss what is for many of us, a significant part of our lives.  On the other hand, i suppose....

No.  Actually, i don't get it.  Why would it be assumed that just because we are BDSMers, we run the risk of vile and dispicable things and so any mention of parenting is thus prohibited.  i find it a little insulting, and yet i try to understand that it may be more about protecting CM.  i don't know.

darksdesire -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 8:03:17 AM)

Oh, and it was removed  merely because the "ch" word was mentioned at all....not how or what was said.  Don't worry about having said anything inappropriate about that topic.  It's only the topic itself and i think many of us have had this happen.  There was nothing wierd or icky.  Now that you know the rule (as i learned) you just wont do it again.

timeoutgurlie -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 8:06:14 AM)

Yeah in the mail I was sent it mentioned tha the site is watched, so the rules are pretty much, my understanding, a zero tolerance policy to anything "ch"/"icky" (I love that we're creating buzzwords surrounding this thread of mystery lol [:D]).

I see your point totally, don't get me wrong, but I see their's also and with all of the bullshit surrounding the 'lifestyle', I'm sure whatever agency/ies are watching would be happy to see even a small fuckup on the part of a member/mod, anything to do with the site.

On the plus side, you didn't waste your time posting me a warning, since I wouldn't have seen it anyhow what with the thread deleted suddenly and all *giggles* [:D]

Edited: Oooh, I didn't know it was just "the word"...thanks, will keep it in mind for sure!

darksdesire -> RE: Just a Thank You to the Women of the Forums (12/3/2006 8:11:05 AM)

ah.  Good point about the site being watched by dirty minded outsiders who already think we are a group of depraved sickos and are just looking for an excuse.  lol.  i hadn't thought of that, and of course that puts the whole thing in perspective.
