shopping can be a serious problem. I hestiate to make jokes here knowing what havoc shopaholics create. Second mortgages, owning every card ever made, all maxxed to the limit.

If you are that type of person, god bless anyone who can tame you. Its not an easy additcion to beat. Best wishes here. Sophie

Well god has bless Master cause he is taming me about the spending, its frustrating, but one day i will thank him, well i already do [:)]

Just be aware that some clothes are in stores like marshals because they're not suitable for retail stores. Usualy it's nothing serious, but I have found rips stains and other defects with clothing in those"discount" stores.

To this day, I buy my clothes at name-brand discount places,

It's one solution anyway...sometimes it can be fun to shop at those dollar or thrift stores. You can get so much more stuff for so much less money.

me too the library rocks, if I am in a book store I take a pen and a huge pad and write them down and hunt them at the library. I've saved about a thoughsand dollars doing that!

LTR - Must say, the limo idea sounds fantastic, have never indulged that far...though I'd be unhappy if he didn't come with me, so I'm lucky he enjoys it.

I think you just gave me a Christmas shopping idea, I'm getting the vapors just thinking about it *giggles* [:D]

amaidiamond -> RE: Question about shopping (12/6/2006 1:19:12 AM)

I know i shop too much, but I manage to keep it under control just, although my Dom does not activly curb my habits, being with him does because i tend to think twice before buying like..... do I really like and need that shirt? is it worth £x and of course the winning factor, if I don't buy that I could use the money to visit him :)
So usually what happens is i'll have the urge to go on a shopping spree and i'll rationalize it, telling myself I could afford an extra trip into London to see him, so I go home, forget the shopping and then when I do go and see him it costs me about 1/4 of what the shopping would have and means I don't have yet more stuff cluttering my house.

One other thing that worked for me is not thinking of items in terms of cost but in terms of hours, My job is a need not a joy for me currently so i've taken to thinking in work hours so for instrance... "oh thats pretty, am I willing to work 3 hours extra to get that.." Then if the answers yes I buy it then work the extra.

me and shopping have unbreakable bonds and they will count as hard limits if someone dares touching them[8|]

BRNaughtyAngel -> RE: Question about shopping (12/6/2006 6:57:43 AM)

I'm not a shopaholic, but I've never had to answer to anyone about what I can and cannot buy.  However, long ago, I found a way to cope with the desire to buy something when I don't really need it.  I will carry something around with the "intent" to purchase it (sorta telling myself I ~CAN~ buy this if I want to), but before I head to the checkout, I put it back.

Sounds silly, but it works for me.  LOL! [:D]

Now about the red bra and sweater I bought yesterday......... that was a NEED.  REALLY, it was! [8|]
