What do you get out of blogging and has it every been held against you?
What are some really good slave friendly blogging sites?

Nope, I don't blog and never will. I find the whole idea repugnant.

It'd be interesting to know what satisfaction folk get from doing it, though and what motivates them to do so.

Blogging is journaling. On a computer.

You have the choice to make it completely private or open to the public.

I blog, though I am not open about my sexuality on my blog. Not beacue I dont want it held against me or any such nonsense, but simply becasue I dont get much out of writing about it. My blog is my sounding board for when I am frusterated and want to get something out of my head and onto paper. Saves me from having to repeat my stories tine and time again. I just tel my friends to read what I wrote and they will understand. It just makes me feel better, to be able to write out what went on. I used to do it in a paper journal, now I do it online.

I blog although I do write more about the process of my life and world view than overt sexuality. I do so because I like to write and will share things I believe might help someone else with their process or which are just fun. My private journals are very different from what I'll put out to the public. Those are just for Himself and I and are more likely to delve into my sexuality and other personal issues, often being specific to a particular scene, how it affected me and so on.

I've been keeping a journal or diary since I was very young and going back and see my progress, the changes which have taken place in my own attitude and things of that nature can often help me over a current stumbling block. I just use an electronic medium now instead of pen and paper.. although I still, actually, use pen and paper on occasion.

I was actually surprised at the comment that agirl made in which she stated she finds the whole idea of blogging repugnant. That seems such a strong word for such an innocuous activity like blogging. ::shrugs:: I don't see blogging as much different than contributing to forums. You're sharing your ideas, giving advice, getting opinions.. all of which takes place via the written word in an electronic medium ... just like blogging.

I actually write in three blogs.

One is for my friends and family back home so they can stay up to date with my life here. It saves a lot on phone bills. It's just a good way to keep in touch.

The second is mostly for my fictional writing and poetry. I like being able to get feedback from my friends on what I've written, and they seem to enjoy it too.

The third is mostly to vent, and for pointless things. (a mixture of friends from the first two also view this one).

I love to write and it gives me a good place to do it.

Let me clarify....The idea of journalling my life for others to read is something *I'd* find repugnant. For ME.

I haven't any feelings about what others do........it might be an innocuous activity but it's one that, for ME, would be extremely unpleasant.

I blog but not every day, just when i feel like venting a little. Im open about who and what i am but keep some feelings etc back.
I also hand write a journal which has all my most private thoughts in which i would only share with a Master.
I find them both to be a release of sorts and thats what i personally get out of it.

I never have blogged and I don't think I ever will. I see it the same as in the old days we had diaries to write in.
While in my teenage years I kept one. Figured it was best for me at the time. A few year's later I re-read it and though...what an idiot I was.
From that point on, nope I've never had a desire.

For those who do put their entire lives out there for anyone in the world to see, well they deserve some sort of medal. I'm too private of a person to do that.

I blog because it pleases Master and He told me to do it so i obey. I use the blog on bondage.com. I think it is an easy way to write and again because Master said to do so. Agirl i understand how you feel about the writing but it does help to clarify feelings, pleases Master and can be public or private. I choose public at the time i started writing but can go private whenever i so choose.

This is new for me (the blogging) but so far no one has held what i have said against me. Hopefully that will not happen but if it does then i will deal with it when it happens.

I do not blog. I just could never think that anyone could be that interested in just my thoughts or I particularly can just stare at a blank page and go what do I feel like writing about today. I like message boards but to me there is a big difference. I also do not read blogs all that much. Sometimes I will stumble on one for various reasons and read them with interest but rarely do I follow one person for any great time.

I have a journal on LJ. I don't update as much I used to but I will mention my sex life there. I don't do much because I know there are people there who are reading it to get info against me and a friend of mine. Sounds paranoid I know, but my friend has a really nutty ex.

I have a LiveJournal, where I tell everything from the results of a stupid random quiz to my exploits with at-the-time partners to confusion about my gender, sexuality, and other personal issues. Some fall into legal grey areas, so I'm not gonna be too specific. And I have filters for this because my random fanfiction friends probably don't want to know the inner workings of my head and the 16-year-old girl I'm serving as a listening post to has no need to know what turns me on.

I don't keep a more traditional handwritten journal because I dislike my own handwriting and enjoy the fact that other people will hopefully read it. If the words relate to them and help them figure something out, that's for the better. If all I get from it is someone saying that they hope I feel better or less confused soon, that's great as well. Written media is the most convenient way of expressing myself. I'll even write open letters to people if I really have something to say and no desire to be emotional to said person's face.

I find that I keep a journal better on the computer than handwritten and so I blog. I don't mind my friends seeing my any part of me, though I do usually put it below a cut if it is sexual. I figure people should have warning and choice whether to read the details of my sex or bdsm related life. The journals on play and my processing have been useful, as sometimes it takes me hours or days to process what has occurred. My Master and my sisterslave can read what I’m processing and also have journals of their own. It is interesting to read a scene in three different voices. People often have a slave journal; mine is just mixed in with other "regular" journal entries and online.
I have gotten to know other slaves through our journals. It has been nice also to get feedback from others on some of my own personal processing, which couldn't occur if it was just my handwritten journal in my home. I've made connections with people who went through similar things, people that I never would have otherwise known. That aspect is interesting to me, though I do simply like to journal on the computer.
It is interesting that some people hate to look back on old journals. I find it interesting to see how I've grown.
I do make sure that my name and face are nowhere to be found in my journal, though. Writing about my life as a whole when I am an educator could be difficult.
