I'd think twice about this relationship if I were you. The two of you haven't met and it's not very expensive to fly cross country for a weekend meeting. There are a few redflags here, first one is that you haven't met and it's been how long since you've been talking on the phone? The second one is that you are talking on the phone multiple times a day, therefore not only running up your phone bill but making a huge mental investment that may or may not have a sufficient return. The third one is that he's not only using you to birddog for him, but actually seeking another for him and the two of you dont even have a face to face relationship, yet. The fourth and final red flag is that you have enough qualms about doing this for him that you have brought it to this forum for discussion.
Listen to your gut, and do what it says, otherwise you might be sorry.
