Status: offline 		There are all different preferences. Some are proud of their 'bloodwings', some tolerate the inevitable blood, some avoid it in general, but will accept it sometimes, and some hate it.

my Master doesn't particularly want bloodwings, so instead He introduced me to anal sex (something i have said i am interested in, but have been worried about it), and was very gentle and pleasing, and now it's something i know i'd enjoy again (though only with Him, not only because He has commanded such, but also because i love the way He goes about it, and don't think it'd be the same with anyone else).

But that's just us. Everyone has their own preferences, and they are often very different.

personally, for myself, it matters little whether or not I get any pleasure from the act or not. In addition to this, as Master has said before; I have two other holes he can use.

Status: offline 		It's a very individual thing. Talk with him about it and express any concerns that you may have regarding it. I know that a lot of women feel needlessly "dirty" during menstruation but that can be overcome with a caring Dom to guide you.

Sure, that's what showers and towels were made for.  Plus, most women tend to have times of the day when they flow heavier than others, so you can try and aviod the heavy flow times if you like.

As well, some women enjoy using the Instead cups and claim they can have sex without spilling.

For me, I don't care.  I wallow in menstrual blood and nothing gets me more primal.

I am in a lot of discomfort during that time for about the first 48 hours.  I cant even imagine being fucked vaginally or anally during those couple of days.  With some advil in my system I get enough relief to go about my day and Id surely be able to give a blow job. But any other type of sex would be very painful for me internally.  I doubt I would feel much devotion to someone who'd not care about that, and force his cock in me anyway.

Status: offline 		Yes this is a great question, as many people and even most negotiation lists just avoid the menstrual topic completely.

For me whether I am dominant or submissive to the woman, her consent to contact during her Flow is essential to me.

I feel that a woman's femininity is powerful and magical during her Goddess Flow time, so I love all sensual contacts then. I will refrain from "pulling the string" if a partner has this as a limit, but with much regret.

From my submissive side it has been sweetly wonderful and amusing when a Domme thinks she is humiliating me by requiring contact including oral service during her Flow. It is really a reward!

Naturally these days one has all the fluid bonding concerns to be safe about, and also as I get older I find less and less women who still have their Flow. This can be natural, which is fine.

There does seem to be a very large number of US women who have decided to surgically remove this part of their lives, often as a conveniance or for birth control purposes. I find that disturbing.

There are some very interesting books about the propaganda American women go through at an early age to convince them to feel uncomfortable about this beautiful natural process, usually to sell them feminine higene products.

Status: offline 		Yes, my experience has been that LuckyAlbatross is correct. There need not be a mess.

There is no need for menstrual sex to make a mess unless the visual turn on of a big mess is what you are looking for.

Even if oral is not acceptable for someone involved, a big fluffy purple towel and a washcloth or some wipes handy can keep things tidy. Usually there is a lot less mess than chocolate syrup, spaghetti, or any of the pottie play variations.

I learned how MUCH I could turn a girl on during her Flow before I was ever exposed to the usual US hype about freshness, etc. so never got an inhibition about periods. Gotta luv those babysitters, lol.

Status: offline 		No, nuh-uh, nada, ain't happenin'....  and all the rest.  Not during heavy flow, medium flow, light flow, or even just about but not quite no flow. 

For Daddy and I, this is not even a topic of conversation now.  When we first talked as friends about sexual topics, we both agreed that sex during this time was a big ole NO-NO.  He says it's my body's chance to do its thing, and I say that's fine with me.  During that time (only about 3 or 4 days max. with me), we don't engage in any sexual behavior, we focus even more time on talking and just doing friend stuff.  We don't live together so it's not likely that we're together much during that time of the month anyway.  (maybe we meet for lunch during the work day)  Anyway, it doesn't happen, and it suits us just fine.

Status: offline 		 It really doen't matter to me.  Like vield wrote, a couple towels and a washcloth and all the mess is forgotten.  Sometimes a few good orgasms will bring some relief to syptoms of menstral discomfort, on the other paw, if she's not into it, I'm a Top, not a jerk, safe, sane and _consensual_.

my period is a little heavier than normal today because I took the morning after pill a couple days ago. my cramps were bad too.. hopefully tomorow will be less of flow cuz it will be 3rd day..

i just couldnt even use my dildo today cuz of the extra flow.. but i know i could have but i was just so grossed out...

i am glad to have my period each month though.. cant complain..but when the cramps come i feel horrible..

Status: offline 		Well there's a whole other host of issues associated with having sex right after a serious pregnancy scare that would complicate matters as well. 

As it always comes down to- do what works best for everyone.  We should all be looking for the long term fulfillment here, not a few minutes of immediate pleasure (not that taking immediate pleasure is bad or wrong).

Status: offline 		I don't really mind it as long as it's not the first day, that is when I hurt the most.  Master doesn't like it at all though, so we never engage in it.  We will have anal, or oral only during that time. 
 
In some ways that sort of sucks, because I do get really turned on during this time and can't really get any relief.
