Submission, a French film, I believe. However, it does not have a pretty ending.

Must admit I was well impressed with the 21hrs trailer they showed tonight........ I realise its the watershed where adult themes are permitted, but its Saturday night and kids dont go to bed quite so early as in the week. Mine saw it as they'd been watching whatever was on earlier whilst I was wrapping xmas pressies. I looked up when I heard the audio, and thought "OMG".

So far, they've said nothing and I hope it stays that way. But I expect there will be questions at some stage.

And yes, they will be in bed by 2030 on Thursday

krikket -> RE: The Secretary (12/9/2006 9:12:11 PM)

i rented the movie from netflix last year, which i liked cuz there wasn't any need to go "behind the curtain" to see da good stuff.  Mr. Postman brought right up to my door...<g>

i'd heard all sorts of yummy, delish things about it, and i figured how could i not love it..after all, i'm a sub and a secretary -- seemed a match made in hollywood heaven.

Unfortunately i have to say i didn't really quite "get" the whole point, but perhaps i was looking for a more logical plot? Silly girl..lol

i hope you have a blast with it..can't imagine it ever being shown on US tv -- although watching all bushettes, etc., fall over in a faint or pass out from shock would be kinda fun to watch <g>
Have fun y'all!!!!!!!!!

(chuckling) I never noticed! I think it probably did, but I'm not sure.

Belle du Jour is another intriguing and famous flick.

Camille 2000 wasn't BDSM, but an offbeat sensual love story.

Did anyone else actually watch the secretary last night or have you already seen it?
I watched it and was not impressed in the slightest. I just found it to be cheesy drivel.

Missed it!

Too busy playing guitar and breaking nails

Hehe, that's what I was making an attempt to do yesterday! I think I might just stick to piano- it hurts less to hear myself play...

I haven't watched Secretary since I've gotten into D/s myself, but saw it back when it came out with a friend. I keep wondering if I should take another look and see if I still like it.

Bais Moi is very, very good if not a little extreme. I couldn't believe that I found this film in Blockbusters!!!

MyMasterStephen -> RE: The Secretary (12/15/2006 5:55:07 AM)

Bitter Moon is a strange and slightly disturbing film.

It's either Oxygen or We (channels on dish) that show it all the time in the USA. It's not a pervy movie and if you edited out the nudity at the last....it's about as tame as anything else on cable.

Romance http://imdb.com/title/tt0194314/

I saw the Secretary and overall I didn't like the film much. I did like the spanking scenes and the panty scenes and I found the lead actress very erotic. As for the masturbation scene, the male one, I didnt enjoy that, I would have sooner seen the secretarys panty clad bottom.  lol.

Cheesy drivel - with Maggie Gyl.. Ghyl.. Glylyl.. Whatever-her-name-is' boobies!

It was terrific fun to watch with a then neo-feminist housemate though. She was foaming at the mouth and glowing red at t'eyes by the end :)

wwsmith -> RE: The Secretary (8/19/2007 1:52:30 PM)

I liked that it was one of the first 'mainstream' movies which didn't link S&M to murder death kill-after discovering a pain-filled lifestyle together they live happily ever after--exploration and experimentation lead to healing, self-actualization, and all that.

In most mainstream movies anything sexually out of the ordinary tends to end in some terrible thing happening to someone or someone getting otherwise 'cured' of their 'problem'.
