Status: offline 		Master and I are remodeling our house and have decided for noise value to spend the extra and install the noise protection insulation behind the new drywall.

The ideas offered here are also beneficial for things like the doors and windows.  It is amazing how teenagers are no where to be found until you do not want them then suddenly they appear and need you.

Status: offline 		There is a product on the market called "Quietrock", they have a website. This is drywall that goes right over bare studs or can even be placed right over existing drywall and painted. This shit works...

Status: offline 		Most thermal insulation in that case works as previously stated.Goes in between the original wall and the infront of that placed drywall.Metal stud is prolly the easiest to install.You can also do the ceiling like that.Wont have to put anything ugly on the wall then like the egg boxes or foam.I dont know how the interieur of the room is but the emptier the more acoustic and sound gets enhanced.Just bounces everywhere.So carpet on the floor would help too besides having things in the room that disrupt the flow of sound.Check any holes in floor or ceiling or airvents as sound loves escaping through there and might travel to the neighbours.
Added with a lil Korn cant go wrong then.
