Please forgive me if this is not the appropriate board to post this to but I was just not sure where it should best go. Please feel free to move this to wherever may be better.

There is a safehouse for those in alternative lifestyles operated here in Michigan that has experienced a fire that has left them with many needs. The lifestyle people who run this facility have helped countless submissives/slaves that have found themselves in difficult or dangerous situations. They offer housing, counseling services and an environment where all are made to feel welcome.

I can not begin to tell you how wonderful these folks are or how many people they have helped.

If anyone can help in any way to help them get back on their feet, I can assure you that your assistance is not only needed but would be greatly appreciated and put to good use.

After speaking with the folks at Immediate Family, another suggestion that was made for anyone wishing to help(and in a position where it would not create a hardship to do so) would be Meijer's gift cards. They would be used to replace the most immediate needs of bedding, towels, clothing, personal care items and much needed cleaning supplies.

That is a shame !

any idea what caused it ?

Fire play ? (I know it is not a laughing matter, but we have to keep a smile about tragic stuff too , because laughing helps [:)])

Actually they believe it was a forgotten candle(or at least that is what the speculation is). Yes it really is a shame, they are some of the most wonderful people I know and they open their hearts to all who need.....without judgement.

My funds are limited, but I will make a donation. So sorry to hear of this disater. Sounds like a very worthy cause.

have them contact their local Red Cross
and they will assist with their need of a
temporary place to stay and replacement
of bedding and sheets, clothes and food
but you must call them and report the fire
and need befor they will come out and assist.
its not automatic. The victums must be referred.
