As an "army wife" ... I am not sure how much I would trust, coming from the military or the government.  I would have to wonder about those statistics, as I have learned it's very common practice for the military to mislead and provide false information.  I knew nothing of the army, other than opinions I had formed from tv.  But now that I have been living the life for half a year ... I have discovered nothing is as I though and the BS wears me out somedays ... as does the lack of cooperation and help ... but my negativity might just stem from lack of sex for 8 months while my Dom's been off building sandcastles in the middle east.

You made some very incorrect blanket statements:

1. the military has reached an entire low point in society

2.  one that had not been breached before

3.  that is why their numbers are up

All of these are demonstratably false.

But, they tie into to your political views, and therefore you accept them, repeat them and attempt to skew anything you can to support them.

When called on it, you attempt a duck and run, and to shift the terms of the debate.

FirmKY

Would you be willing to actually provide some sort of evidence to support your claims?

Or is this another one of those "my opinion trumps your opinion" threads?

The dissected comments were made by sub4hire.

Since she made them (and then disclaimed authorship), there is no one to take her position.

The one making a claim has the responsiblity to provide some sort of "evidence".  If you would like to take her position, and show me something to back up the claim that:

the military has reached an entire low point in society one that had not been breached before that is why their numbers are up

... then I'd certainly be willing to discuss it.

For example, what does "low point in society" mean?  And, if you can define it, then how can you prove it has never been reached before?  And, if because the military has reached this supposed "lowest point in society", that is the reason for it's high recruiting and retention numbers?

Go ahead. Make your logical argument.
