Around here is kinda difficult to judge. You can either leave St. Louis in this guestimate or not, as it's only about 120 miles away from this area. Areas with any activity at all in this region are spread out so far, it's hard to decide who to include and who not to. If you leave out St. Louis, I'd give a liberal guestimate of around 1200 people covering Cape Girardeau, Springfield, and Poplar Bluff, Missouri - as well as all of Far Southern Illinois, south of I-64. But all these people and places are stretched over 8 hours driving time, east to west, and about 5 hours driving time, north and south. Munches are usually pretty tame affairs. I've never been to one that's topped 30, for sure. Again, leaving out St. Louis, there aren't any real large weekend events or anything down this way. For the most part, the ages of the players are "mature". They usually fall in the range of late 30s to late 60s. We're in the minority, being 24 and 30, respectively. The styles of play could be considered mature and responsible. Most of the groups are younger than 10 years old, I'd say. In conclusion, I guess I'd rate the community around here in it's "Tween Years". Not really young, but not old either. Respectable, but not famous. Hope this sheds some light, ~MrsShadows~
