To start off, I would never actually use this.. um.. equipment unless it was personally designed for and extensively tested on humans. Seeing as how it has been made for cows, and they're quite a bit different from us... no, not today. I don't think anyone wants to play around with their central nervous system not to mention brainwaves lightly.

But were it developed for technically safe-as-possible use on humans, would anyone see the appeal in using something like this in play? http://www.calmcow.com/default.html (They have a fairly demonstrative video but be warned, it contains a few castration scenes common in the business and of course, as per the nature of the product, some cow butt.)

I know that it isn't supposed to hurt, but it wouldn't feel good, either.. talk about punishment. Screwing someone's brains out while they can't even feel it or move.. whew.

So basically I'm being nonspecific and asking thoughts. Love it, hate it... passionately either way? Let me know!

edit: Oh! I forgot to mention there's a link at the bottom, too, in smallish print labled "Technical Info" which gives a lot of insight into how the system actually works.

Just watched the video and that's an amazing device.

and would appeal to many perverted minds like mine.

However $800 is more than I can afford.

The probe looks ok for human use and it's effect is adjustable.

Wouldn't be the first time something is used for a different purpose
than intended. Tens units, cattle prods etc.

After reading the tech specs (overloading the mammailian nervous system, anyone?), I'm gonna have to put it in the "not recomended" column.

Edit: never mind. missed the part on "If it were safe for humans..."

Yeah, if it was safe for humans I'd probably try it. It'd make getting piercings real easy... no need to feel the needle, and I could get some of the more painful ones done quickly. There's also the question of whether or not the subbie is conscious when the device is turned on. Could make for some totally hot scenes.

I read about a device like this in a FarmShow paper about a year ago. Now I've been in the cattle business a long time and had never seen anything like it. I did watch a video on how it works and it's quite ammazing. But I wouldn't recommend it being used on humans cattle are big animals and something that would do no harm to them could be quite devastating to a human.

Yes, to me that sounds like something right out of a BDSM/Sci-fi fantasy story! Of course, the trick is to fine-tune it so that the person wielding the controls can adjust whether or not it blocks the pain receptors... without that, the usefulness for scening is a bit limited.

Heh... I don't know about turning it on but I can tell you I certainly get calm when something is inserted.  Well.. at the moment of insertion anyway.
