Status: offline 		Lets be honest here.  If you note there are different answers from Dom's vs Domme's.  Its more likely a guy thing to ignore his appearance but it sounds like a good excuse to say Cause I'm a Dom.  If you want your Dom/Master to turn you on with his attire, figure out the correct way to ask or to suggest or to maybe be more subtle and "reinforce" when he does.

Status: offline 		A submissive has never asked or made mention of something she found particularly arousing.  In the spirit of sensory stimulation and so forth, knowing a sub has more buttons and disregarding them seems a waste of a dom's knowledge.  If I knew a particular way of dressing would get my submissive hot and bothered, I'd keep it on hand for situations where I wanted her that way.

I think there are times for it.. but remember, it can often revert to the control issue.. Same reason my submissive/slave will sit at my side while I watch tv.. she'll be naked, i'll be in shorts and t-shirt...

For some scenes, some venues or events, it's good to dress to impress.. not just for others, but for your submissive/slave...

You can sort of envision my reticence, non?  Right off the bat, it doesn't match my whip. The accessorization of such a get-up is formidable, to say the least.

At the end of the day,  I am an indulgent sort...so long as the teasing remains within that domain.

Status: offline 		Hi, I'm new....but I will dress up if I go out w/ a guy, no matter if they're my friend, or a romantic interest. Asking him to dress up shouldn't be a big deal.
In my newbie opinion, a sub has to love however she looks, or she can't be a complete part of the D/s relationship.
Likewise, a Dom has to be comfortable w/ an occasional acquiesce to his sub's likes (and that includes her visual cues).
It's just common courtesy.

Many of the posters like it a lot when new people read old threads. Shows you're doing your homework. But they don't like it so much when the old threads get brought up for everyone to see again.

Status: offline 		A prospective partner spending that much money on clothing, looks and general appearance, more than once in a very, very rare while, would be a hard limit and  turn off to me.


Not that they can't look nice, and dress well, but they'd need to be frugal  about doing it, and finding the best way to dress nicely and look sharp with out the big giant price tag.

Status: offline 		To me, a need is something you need to stay in the relationship, and or need to stay alive, Anything else is a want, and  maybe if the sub was looks motivated she'd NEED a dom who wanted to dress nice for her, just as he wanted her to do for him,  but I really wouldn't in most situations call a desire for a partner that would dress for you, a "need" more like a want.

And as long as he was seeing to other things like making sure he does his part in the relationship, he could run around in jeans an a t shirt all the time for all I cared 99.99999999999999999999999999 times.

Stephan is still Voltare for heavens sake.

I dress up when I want, where I want, because it pleases me to do so.
That said, I am:
A- A pretty picky guy about some things, and clothes happen to be one of the things I do care about, as well as situational considerations.
B-Have a huge wardrobe. Like no shit, I have closets full of clothes, to the point where I actually had to consider closet space when I bought my house. Hell, I have over 20 belts and at least 20 pairs of shoes, not to mention something like 85 (!) dress shirts.
C-Tasteful. For years, my best female friend was a personal shopper at a very high end store and she taught me enough that I could qualify for honorary gay guy status..
D- An instigator supreme. If I can fire her up wearing something I may just do it...or may do the opposite just to play with her emotions and mind. Tease, tempt, offer, pull away


Now, I like to do things that make her smile ( a happy slave makes for a happy house, which makes for happy Masters), but those things are done on my terms, at my whim.
The day I start doing thins solely because they please her is the day I turn in my "twue dom" card, join the nilla's and get a GF who makes me freaking "honey do" lists.

Status: offline 		Well...I won't read all the resposes, because there are a lot. :P However, our personal opinion/response:

She's been asked many times whether certain attire would be arousing. There are a few things she likes, but it hasn't seemed nearly as much of an appeal for her as all her fetishy outfits are to me. So, personally, I'd have no problem with sometimes wearing certain attire...in fact, I think it would make me feel sexy...but she doesn't seem to have the same desire for such things as you do. Why do some men deny such things? *shrug* Think it's silly, think they should be sexy just how hey are, insecure about their appearance...*shrugs*...beats me!
