Should a bottom ask for references from a Top who is into a specific form of pony play..ie: Beating a dead horse?

Obtaining references from the deceased animal would be a nightmare. Are people like this stable?

Apologies for using the 'B' word earlier. Hope this version is acceptable with the mods.

Back to your regularly scheduled dead horse beating.

Let me let you in on a secret as a pentultimate "beater of dead aquine flesh"....

If one is dead and you want the "word" from the horse's mouth (so to speak) - find the live one currently being sized up for the glue factory and ask it for the reference....

After all - there is always one in the docket and never a lack of good manpower to render it dead.

mmmmm and what good are the references if you don't know the person that is giving the reference in the first place?

Sooner or later a person needs to make ones own judgement and sometimes it is not an easy task.

Sir,

Hay, no need to get on your high horse.

This was a tongue-in-cheek post pertaining to the 'way too lengthy' dead horse beating post about 'References'.

If you want to graze through the field of comments be sure to giddy up over to that post.

grinning and neighing...tossing my forlock out of my eyes

Are you saying that this thread is a horse of a different color?

The answer to the question would be horses for courses....of course.

Although some may see the need for references as looking a gift horse in the mouth.

You pays your monies and you takes your chances. With a bit of horse sense you might come out on top. On the other hand....manure happens.
