Not silly at all,  When we went to visit my Master's Grandparents for thanksgiving I had to be without it for 5 days and it drove me nuts.  It was kinda scary because when I get nervous (( as I do around new people sometimes)) I reach up and touch either the leather of the collar or the silver pendant that hangs from it for comfort and reassurance.  I was very nervous around his grandparents because they are very very strict christians and I was terrified they'd see my tattoos and freak out on me.   Luckily they loved me and didn't notice my tattoos (( except my pawprint which is tiny anyhow))  I believe our collars are great sources of reassueance and comfort when we are nervous or scared, it shows that someone cares and loves us.   I know when we got home the first thing I did was run to the bedroom and have Master put my collar back on.  

Maybe you have a bracelet he favors and could wear that?  or take the collar to a jewellers or something of the nature.  You could always do what my Master's father does, he snips the lock with bolt cutters and puts a new lock on. (( it happens quite a bit in this house, luckily since mine is leather it can't stay on in the shower and so doesn't have a lock.  Master knows I'll wear it so he doesn't worry about locking it.))

I just wish I had a slave who felt like that about my collar. Maybe it's my fault that I don't.
Not that I don't sympathise with you.
Hopefully you will find your heart shaped lock.

thanks every one it helps a lot to know that Im not alone in how I feel about my collar. Master is a very special man and I know that he is only ever a phone call away if I need him and that I can call him anytime aspecialy when I am away (He knows Im kinda nervouse about beeing in charge and responsable for my 2 younger sisters)

I can totaly relate to reaching up and touching the collar when nervouse.. I am constently grabing the lock for comfert!!!

My necklace broke two weeks ago. He took me out immediately to the store where he bought it to see if they had a different chain the pendant could fit on. Fortunately the owner was helping us and she knew that this kind of chain gets snagged on hair and breaks so she replaced it with an extender that my hair won't catch on.

I would have been devastated if he just ignored it and didn't feel it was important to replace.

Master has already helped me start to look for a new one and has been very supportive about it I feel extremley lucky that he cares so much about my happyness and mental well beeing he is a very special man!!

i REALLY understand being upset about this. i would HATE it if my collar broke. It did once actually and i was quite upset but Master took me right away to have it fixed. Now i wear a collar, a bracelet, an earring and a ring that all come from Him.  i treasure each one of these "things" as they symbolize not only His ownership of me, but His love too. Oh and stuffed animals - i'm old enough to be a grandma and i still love em. i have a little bear that Master bought me when W/we had O/our slave ceremony. i named him Juan cause W/we got him in the San Juan Islands. i love to joke around and call Juan my little slave - lol.

Hello all sorry I havent been around but I just got home... Like I said I took my sisters to Disney world and man was it exousting but we did have fun... and I got to talk to Master on the phone at least one time a day : ) He was very helpfull when things got a little tuff (Like the flight time beeing changed) and always managed to calm me down so that I could do what I needed to do to be the big sister and the one in charge!!!!!

We are working on the collar thing right now I am wearing it with a temperery lock.. it isnt a very nice one but at least it inables me to wear the collar I will take a look at the links in a bit but right now Im so tired it has been a long week!!! Thank you all!!
