I have an ex-boyfriend that I'm still very good friends with. He actually decided he was gay ... so you might say I made him what he is today. [;)]
A few weeks ago, he asked my best friend and me, to help him put in a tile floor in his house. Now, being the helpful friend that I am (and knowing that working people get thirsty for cool drinks made in a blender), I decided to help him. We're working on it a little every day.
I love tile floors. Some day I want my own house, and when I get it, I want tile floors. But ... tiling ... SUCKS.
Moving all the furniture ... SUCKS
Taking up all the old carpet and tile ... SUCKS
Tiling ... tiles are heavy and the thinset is messy. It ... SUCKS
None of us have tiled before. Getting it att straight is very difficult. the whole process just SUCKS.
Grout. Are you aware that colored grout is really messy, and gets everywhere? That SUCKS too.
In general, tiling is a messy, hard, sucky job. I'm now completely motivated to get top grades, so I can afford to pay someone to do it.
If you are a dominant looking for that special punishment for your submissive ... I highly recommend tiling floors.
