Ok bizarre rant time!!

I have just returned from London and spent 3 hours crawling up a foggy M11….

Question! Why the feck do they have these flashing signs warning of fog that you can’t see until you are about 5 metres from them because well it is bloody foggy?!?

Surely if you don’t realise the poor, misty visibility until you reach the sign telling you such you shouldn’t be  sodding well driving!!

Oh and another thing – how come when you are stuck in a traffic jam – not getting out of 1st gear for 10 miles they flash signs saying 40mph – are they trying to rub our noses in it!!

Phew feel better for having got that off my chest!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Think yourself lucky. I'm doing the xmas runs to our customers this week.

400 miles a day through the fog.

Off to Leeds today, what fun

Didn't you know you were involved in a test?

If you aren't a claire voyent you have no business driving in or around London!

I didnt know there was traffic in otehr countries.  [jk]

Ill take a stab at this riddle.   it flows better if everyone stays in the correct lane.   there seem to be many roads where you are in neither lane- left or right- that you exist within both and none at same time. the problem then arises between the crowd that knows where they are going and those that dont.

I just came from a lovely commute. [im being sarcastic.]  oh well im home safe no accidents no  tickets.

Traffic has increased in this area alot- we are set to get a thru way- in 10 years, i think. they are grabbing the land for it now.
there is probaly 9 folks on this board also getting a thru way.
we killed the trains after all. many of us really dread the elements of a bus- so here we are gridlocked-

I have wired an electromagnet into my front bumper and when I find myself stuck in traffic on the Los Angeles freeway system I just pull up tight to a truck and flip the switch on the magnet, shut off the engine  and get out a book and read till we are back up to speed.
It saves a ton on fuel.

Were you wearing your London Fogs?

I think you would look better just wearing nothing.

LA traffic. Now there is a commute. I learned how to drive as a curiour in Chicago. This included lower Wacker Drive, and the old "S" curve on LSD. [lake shore drive]

ya know i do miss the leisurley drives along lake Michigan. There is nothing like it!!!!!!

As for lower wacker- leave that to the experts....

And yet another reason I don't drive. . . give me the train any day of the week.

thompsonx, where do you live ? Bumpers are plastic here now..

I guess you'll need a suction cup or a clamp of some type.

Termyn8or:
Cars would notice the extra drag I always pick semis because they have a large steel bar welded across the back of the truck which I hook to and they cannot accelerate fast enough to break the connection[:D].
