For some this is perfectly fine.  My Master has never compromised what he wanted.  If I did not mesh with it and left, he would have been disappointed to see me go, but he would have watched me go, none-the-less.  I do not dictate the choices he makes, not even by threat of leaving. 

Fortunately for me, I am perfectly happy as his slave, whether he has other slaves or not.  I wasn't always this way, so I do believe one can change one's viewpoint if one so wishes.  The desire to do so is the key.  Some do not desire this, which may be well within their purview.
