You know, on one of the public-access television stations here, they play some kind of sappy Irish soap opera now and then.  It's not very good, but I listen to it just to hear the Gaelic.

What you gatting right now?
A lively, ruby red Merlot with aromas of cherry and other berries, and a touch of chocolate and vanilla. On the palate, raspberry flavors mingle with vanilla and wood notes. It flows into a well-rounded, medium-full palate, and finishes smoothly with hints of fruit and wood. The ripe fruit makes the wine very drinkable now and the solid structure will allow the wine to age well over the next five years.

All i know is it goes well with blackened chicken and pasta.
C'mere biy, that Matuselam (I know.. sp... you're gonna flog me) is mighty hard to get a hold of. All I can say is it was magical. I've searched high and low for it since, with no luck. Just dumped the last of my Bacardi Anejo 8 Reserva Especial into a Cuba Libre, and that's some mighty fine shit too. At least I've still got some Havana 7 in the store.
I'm coming home to the republic for Christmas and my first stop will the Long Valley for a ham salad sandwich, pint of Murphs and a packet of Tatoys. Can't wait - God damm they make fine sandwiches there. Even the crankie auld wans that used to work there wouldn't put you off. Merry Christmas
