People that scream fakishness (yes I made that word up, it is a fake word) to me are the ones that are overly concerned with other people being fake. It is kinda like cheaters and liars, the ones that are most worried about being lied to and cheated on are the ones lying and cheating.

I honestly don't care if the people are who they claim to be online or not. Are they interesting to interact with? Do they have something to add to the conversation? If anything begins to develop, a fake will be proven such when it becomes constant excuses to avoid actual human contact.

both the words,"real" and "fake" are subjective..
there are so many variables..
for instance.
if someone is hesitant about giving you pics, there could be several reasons,
they are uncomfortable being judged on their looks alone
they are realistically worried about the possibility of being "outed"(and this does not make them cheaters always,,descretion is always the better part of valor..)
they don't photograph well
they are worried you are really their wife's lawyer.
however..the real truth..is that anyone can send you someone elses pic..
so until you actually meet someone face to face you wont know.
and I hate to be the wet blankie here.but even then you won't always know.
you decide if it's worth it.
I have a subbie friend who has gone vanila..she is very unhappy but she is so
distraught at the countless dead ends that she has given up ..at least for awhile.
and that brings me to another suggestion..
don't actually look for a Master ..look instead for people you simply get along with.
people who answer your questions and give you a sense of give and take .
because you never know..sometimes that "friend " will morph into a "Master"

There are so many male subs out there seeking the comparatively few available Dommes that of course there's an opportunity for the unscrupulous to exploit a "supply vs demand" imbalance.

Such is human nature that even the sincere and reputable are gonna be more selective given the competition for their attention. Which also opens themselves up to be deceived by unscrupulous male subs looking for an edge over their rivals.

While you're out there reading "fake" (Domme?) profiles, Dommes are reading sub profiles, too. Yours is more than just "thin on the ice", you've made no attempt to "sell" yourself at all. Why should any Domme give you more than a glance given the choice available to them?

Lordy, I have to tell you, I listen to people complain nobody responds to e-mail...but...honey, if ya ain't read their profile and send some stupid one-liner, why on earth do you imagine anybody is gonna figure ‘you’re the one’ (for whatever your mutual interests are…you DID mention mutual interests in that note, right?)

It seems a shame… 3-5 of said notes (per day) are not at all rude or crazy. But…why respond? They’re fakes…..right?
