Of course there are, I do for One, and it's only a matter of carefully researching who you see. Most Dommes have their specialities listed on their websites!!

Be careful when looking at the checked interests on the other side though. I have seen many profiles that say that the individual in them is new to BDSM and yet they claim to be able to do things that I would never dream of (even with 7 years of experience). Just be aware that if someone checks it as an interest it doesn't always mean that it is something that they know how to do.

That is a good point, let me tell you from experience that a single tail is not something you want to let an untrained person use on you.

For the record...

That is an interests list. There are things on my list that I have done and am proficient in, and things I have not done, but are willing to try that are not hard limits for me. When I have a discussion with a submissive, I will deliniate which of those I have done and which of those are still on my 'to do' list.

But I agree with you. Single tail, flogging, knife, fire, etc., are activities that I believe you need to have some practice in before inflicting on another person. This is one of the primary reasons I belong to my local BDSM organization. I enjoy the benefit of workshops and mentorship I can get from it.
