I'd like to start by saying, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! Ok...that out the way ::hehehe:: lets get to the serious stuff.

::clears his throat and adjusts his button down dress shirt, trying to look all professional::

Well, to start, I was introduced to D/s at a young age by my girlfriend's sister and her friends. Learned VERY quickly that I was a Dom and enjoyed it immensely. I first only experimented with my girlfriend and what have you with her sister and friends as guides/mentors.

Had a lot of fun, don't get me wrong, but my girlfriend at the time wasn't really a submissive, so didn't get very far with that one. I learned more and more through online on mIRC on dalnet and undernet, meeting a girl called ``trinket. I miss her dearly and owe her much.

In my time on mIRC, she introduced me to Gor, having explained that she had tried being a kajira. I researched it extensively. I found it was more to my liking than D/s, not that I don't really follow up with D/s quite often, but I prefer a slave over a submissive. No, that doesn't mean I want a doormat...a slave is far from a doormat...at least a true slave is. Anyone that tells you differently is a dolt.

Anyhow, back to business here, ::chuckles:: I have since read 16 of the books and have found that, though very poorly written as a whole, and the stories tend to be very close to being all the same, there is an underlying message there. If any of you have read even one of the books, perhaps you have seen what I see in them. Not so much a story, but a guide to bringing us back to where we should be.

No, I am not saying that there are not dominant women, nor should there be. Nor am I saying that there are not submissive men. ::shrugs:: Don't misconstrue my words, however, I am saying that in those that are dominant males, we are forced to suppress our dominance, for the most part, in day to day society. Why? That is a subject that if you would like to touch on, feel free to email me.

I am here in search of friends, first and foremost. I can not say whether things will proceed further, and won't even entertain such thoughts until I have gotten to know a little about you...message away, my friends!!

I would like to thank those that I have already talked to that have made this worth sticking around to check out. Haven't had any negative people, as of yet, but I'm sure that will come with this LONG post. If anyone wishes to learn more, there is much more to me than you can imagine. Feel free to msg me.

Hello and Happy Holidays!!!
I am called pet (collared, marked, engaged, and owned by Master T (masterandpets)).
While I have not read much regarding the gor lifestyle, what I have read about it (online only) I tend to agree with it. I completely understand what you mean regarding people construing the idea of a slave... People tend to attempt to talk to me as if I am their property and should jump because they said so. lmao...
Anyhow, I was wondering if you knew of any good gor websites that help understand it better?
Good luck here and have a great day!

Well, I have a site I'm working on...it's still under construction...more for an online version of Gor than r/t reference, though the training pages, once completed, will be very similar to how I train r/t, except for the dancing. My former kajira made the pages under my guidelines. Just need to get them posted. Might take a bit. Also including the World of Gor site. Will post more here as I find them again.

Much of what you said is very true about the Gor books.  I do not recall anyone saying John Lang aka John Norman was a great writer.  It is true that there is an on going theme in the books, although Prof. Lang has never said this is is view of the need of society to have structure and hold values of honor and respect.  There are now others in various Behavioral Sciences that do agure need for these in society.

I wish you well

Tal and Well Met...

Perhaps he did not directly say it, but in repeating such in various ways through out the different books, I believe that his intent was to say that society has demeaned our value as a whole. Losing the individualism of a man being a man and a woman being a woman.

Men have to watch ever aspect of who we are, and this suppresses who we are and the potential to be who we were meant to be. That is what I read many times, though not in those exact words, thoughout the books of Gor. Perhaps I misinterpreted, but am always open to hear other peoples ideas on the subject.

On a side note, just finished updating my website with the training pages about Gor.

Gold and Steel,
Gado
