I got a ring binder. Having heard a comedy thing about how bad a present they make, I was worried, but it contained lots of chinese poems, translated and illustrated by girlhalf... I cried. Not a very dommy thing, but beautiful presents are beautiful presents

What did you get?

Umm... well I don't know what I'm getting from my dominant yet but... I got a two and a half foot tall silly penguin statue from Santa. He just leaves the stuff in front of the tree though, not wrapped up. Hmm... maybe I can share what I got my dom as something (he isn't on the boards). I bought him a tavern mug and had it engraved to say "[His last name]'s Tavern" and then put a statue of a baby dragon hatching out of it's egg inside the mug. Course the mug is just in a boring box...

My best present was wrapped in Christmas tree paper. Apparently, my uncle took my remarks about Katamari Damacy sometime being hard to find as a challenge and hunted down a copy online. I needed a smile after the overwhelming-ness of far too many people I don't know well being around today and that was worth the way.

Have I mentioned my niece rocks?  She's already asking me when I'll take her to DragonCon so she can meet the cool "scary people" I know.  Bless her lil babybat heart.  I don't know how she came out like she did.  Her parents sell Amway.

A couple of months ago my van was attcked by a deer in broad daylight and did enough dame to make it undravable.

My grand-nephew voluntered to make the repairs for me. Well, he returned it to me Sat afternoon. It's now drivable again. He used the front clip off a 94 to put on my 98. Looks ok even if the new parts are a differnet color. hehehe. light brown vs dark turquoise Ater 2 months it was a great "gift"

For myself I gave me a new cellphone service with a good deal on a Motorola RAZR phone and the first 3 mo.s of service.

I had Cingular that had very spotty signals where I live. Most of the time none. When I had one it was mostly 1-2 with a rare 3. I recently had 2000 rollover min time out which still left me with 5000 on account.

My best present was in a department store bag, a box, and a gift bag. It was the double breasted black full length wool coat that I have been wanting for about 3 years now. Thanks mom and dad! *cries*

My best present was seeing my father happy to hold Christmas in his own house for the first year since my mother passed away three years ago.

He is so funny. He went to the Dollar Store and bought all 10 of us screw-drivers, and nose-hair trimmers. No joke. He always does that kind of thing - every year.

Dad gave us all something else (on the more "meaningful" side) as well as the trinkets from the Dollar Store- but he just loves going to the Dollar Store, and always manages to find some weird thing there, something you never knew you needed before, and bring it home for us.

What a guy!

A brilliant incense set from Adrian - from Marks and Spencers (upmarket dept store in UK, unnecessarily expensive but good quality).

He either loves me after all, or he thinks I stink.

The Ol' Man got me a new puter that was just in the box we brought it home in, needless to say I wasn't going to let that one sit around til Christmas day ....The feather soft socks and pink fuzzy bedroom slippers I have on didn't need wrapping either (I picked them out) but to keep me out of them til Christmas I put them in a box and wrapped them.
About everything gets wrapped and bowed. I love seeing the pretty packages under the tree and stuffed in stockings then watching everyone rip them open!
