This works both ways.........I'm not exactly short of extremely sweet offers of all sorts.

He doesn't get in a fug about it.

He can't be replaced........ I can't be, either.

LOL MaryT, this was no fantasy I trying was live ........... it was very real and I was NOT trying to live a fantasy.  I was attempting to live an honest life, with someone I honestly cared for and trusted, and provide a stable life for my children.  Just not everything turns out the way we want and sometimes hard lessons in life are the only ones that stick to remind of us of our actions, senses, and our real commitments.  It is just the way life is, I learnt, I moved on, and it was NO fantasy I was trying to live, it was life.  The cards are not always dealt in our favour, I accept that.

And why I am defending my life experience that I offer up to back up my views to this tread, is beyond me.  I guess with you trivilizing my experience with such mundane words as 'trying to live a fantasy' I just found somewhat a shallow analysis by you, but do thank you as I was rewarded with a good chuckle and reminder of just how umimportant some views can be in the facets of time and space.

What I'm seeing is not people discussing how this is done all the time.  I'm seeing a lot of fantasy perpetuated, and more and more I'm coming to realize that the perpetuation of fantasy makes up the majority activity on this site.

One person's fantasy is another person's daily living.  My Lord and alandra have been living the "fantasy" of him having financial control for about 18 years.  He has had financial control in my life for the past year and a half.

It may be a wrong choice for some, but then just getting in a relationship is a bad choice for some.

not just because of money that makes you a whore a true Dom is never a whore.

Uh why not?  Being a whore has nothing to do with being a dominant- although I do see a possibility of being both a whore and a dom to the same person.

Renting one is being a pro dom who trains for a price is a different story its cold and impersonal jsut as with a pro domme

Actually sessions with both whores and pro's can be quite warm and personal.

Liz...you are brilliant and beautiful.

Hey, you have my sincerely and complete apology.  I in no way intended to trivialize what you shared.  My point was that it's wise to keep oneself in a position of being able to walk away, and I cannot imagine any dom worth his/her salt would have a problem with that.

I truly did not mean to hurt you.

MaryT

unsung -> RE: Can a Dom/Master be bought? (12/28/2006 4:50:49 PM)

MaryT, I was not hurt, just felt it was a tad trivilizedl.  I am beyond it, but felt in order to make my views valid, they have to be justified in some manner, for me this time through experience.  However, aside from that your apology is accepted, thank you :)

TypeAsub1 -> RE: Can a Dom/Master be bought? (12/28/2006 7:20:30 PM)

LOL.. I tend to make more than most of the men and women I know.  If someone's financial income determined their ability to be dominant or alpha, I'd be a very unhappy girl.  Fortunately, it's irrelevant.

I also would never be in any relationship where a partner insisted on having more than 1 slave.  It's a hard limit - period.  If owning me alone doesn't keep you happy enough and busy enough... i'm not the one for you.

Question to the Doms/Masters: If you added an additional sub/slave who was much wealthier, would you allow her to become the alpha for that simple fact?

NO... simply because I don't subscribe to the alpha concept and secondly... In my thoughts, money is not a measure of any value with regards to D/s relationships...... Character of the person is... characteristics that I admire... such as Integrity and Open-mindedness just to name a couple.
