whisperedsighs -> Profile photos (12/26/2006 9:32:17 PM)

I was sitting here pondering, after about an hour of going through pictures on another site of active members.  It suddenly dawned on me...other then the fact that men think dick pics will get them laid... that there were several photos, of men penetrating others, without condoms, and advertising for poly, couples etc.  So I have to ask.  What message does this send to future potential partners?  I don't practice safe sex and have multiple partners, wanna play russian roullette?

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Profile photos (12/27/2006 4:57:03 AM)

If they do it, I'm sure they can find others who do.

Plenty of people in the scene don't use precautions.

canupleaseme -> RE: Profile photos (12/27/2006 5:11:33 AM)

I guess it is worrying to see that!!!! Personally i find it quite offensive when i get pictures sent to me of mens bits i think i would go mad if i saw one of them havin sex with someone else and being uncareful how crazy [&:] And definatly something that would stop me even considering a reply let alone a relationship.

eyesopened -> RE: Profile photos (12/27/2006 5:28:32 AM)

*laughs* yes there is another site where i would venture to say 85% of the pics are dick-pics.  Not sure how that would get a guy laid but i think it's a pack mentality where they see other guys do it and figure they should too.  No matter what they're packin' one can always buy bigger, thicker and certainly cleaner at the adult toy store.  If that's all i wanted, i can use a dildo and not even have to shave my legs.  LOL

On another site I used to go to I would get daily "dick pics" in emails. I had stated my preference that these not be sent to me. I would usually use an automated response "I do not respond to erotic photos". One guy emailed me back that since the profiles that have pictures of penises on them seemed to be the most popular (many of those profiles got many hits I guess), that I must be unusual in not appreciating penis pictures... well I reponded thusly: "I would ask yourself who exactly is looking at your profile pics, because you assume that it is women when it in fact could be other men"... he did not like that much[:D]

Yes, which leads me to believe that everything they know of women, they learned from watching porn.

everyone is looking for something different, and someone is out there for us all. perhaps these types of photos help attract the sort of people they desire to attract. personally, although generic cock pics tend to bore me, if a saw a picture of a man obviously screwing a girl with a condom on, that would be a bit of a turn-off...health risks aside, condoms just aren't sexy.

LadyMorgynn -> RE: Profile photos (12/27/2006 10:08:41 AM)

ROFLMAO!  You got it!  Porn... made BY men, FOR men... and from that they learn "what women really want!"  Gotta love it.

Staying alive and disease free is much sexier then the results of catching HIV/AID's, Hepatitus, and Herpes in my opinion any day!

i'm sure most people would prefer to be std free, myself included, however there is no appeal in seeing a picture (or film for that matter) of a condom-sheathed cock, in my opinion of course. now if a person believes in using protection 100% of the time with everyone, that's all fine and dandy and swell, however these people are not the ones likely to have cock pictures posted on their profiles, advertising for "poly and couples". as i said, we all seek out something different, and nothing is wrong with that.

also know that pictures can be deceiving...there have been many erotic pictures taken of me where it appears as if no protection is being used by the man using me, when in fact condoms were used. the pictures were taken in a way so that the condoms were completely hidden, or even to intentionally give the impression that condoms were not used. the reason? as i said before, condoms simply aren't sexy, even if at times they are necessary.

I wonder if some of it isn't just exhibitionism - something akin to cyber-streaking.  [:D]

You get the star for the day!  Cyber-streaking....I love it!  Now, what do you think about the chances of them actually sending pics of their own cocks?

xonemasterx -> RE: Profile photos (12/27/2006 3:28:22 PM)

For me there is much more to a relationship that the penis. It is fun but not central.

So Eyes up here! You have to work for what is down there.

To me it sends the messages that you are more interested in sex then a relationship of love and my submission will only be valuable to you as long as you consider me to be a good lay. While I am very interested, and in fact make as one of my "requirements" to have a healthy sex life, I am not interested in people who I feel values a blowjob over love.

theMadWelder -> RE: Profile photos (12/27/2006 8:01:59 PM)

Even on the internet, I have found that a polite smile and "Hello" is what I would choose.

It is also nice to get one in return.

MstrssScarlet -> RE: Profile photos (12/27/2006 8:45:55 PM)

Whenever someone is corresponding with me and they don't have a picture posted, I specify that I would like to see something vanilla.  Something from the waist up is best.
Cock shots are NOT appreciated in my mail box.  In fact, although I know a lot of people probably don't like the limits CM has put on photos, I love it.  Everyone tends to be much more creative with what they post when they can't use the same ol, same ol.

NaiveTempest -> RE: Profile photos (12/27/2006 11:18:48 PM)

I've also been to a website where the pics, both male and female, were penises, tits, asses, puss, etc... or some combination there of. I figure those site pretty much are the sex sites where most people go looking for one night stands, discreet meetings, etc.... so they want to advertise the part that would be the primary focus of the relationship. Some probably do it for the thrill of knowing that people are looking at their stuff too, but don't know who they really are. Half the time if you read their profile they even state that for some sort of reason they didn't want to post "head" shots, be it because of their job, significant other, America's Most Wanted, or whatever.
