I actually cannot tell what my pain thresh-hold is. In some areas, I seem to have a really high pain tolerance (the broken ankle scenario comes to mind; I've sprained my ankle before, and hardly realized it for days). On the other hand, I get periodic foot-cramps in the soles of my feet (I have no idea why). On New Year's Eve, I was hosting a party at my place, and fifteen minutes before guests were set to arrive, I got these horrific cramps in my feet. I couldn't walk, and nothing would make the pain stop. I was getting worried, because they weren't going away - and it was so painful, I was in tears. My dogs were just staring at me, wondering what was up. Then suddenly - they just disappeared (equally weird). When I get those cramps, my whole world just seems to stop, it is so painful to me. - Susan
