ORIGINAL: losttreasure Okay... since you won't ask your question, I will hijack your thread and ask you a question. [:D] Why do you spell "chick" the way you do? Chic (pronounced "sheek") is a French word that means fashionable, stylish, elegant, or sophisticated. Is it a play on words? Or is it something like spelling "love" as "luv"? You writing a book? I like the way she spelled it better myself, knew what it meant out on the threadlist, as I suspect all else did, and even though , being male I wasn't neccessarily invited, well I couldn't resist any such tabooness, so I have to give her kudos for presentation, just failing grades perhaps for content. Then again, like seeks said, It's kind of a kewl anti-thread, "non-thread" concept which has mimimalist, absract overtones, much like the dada movement back in the late 30's. And since It's main contributor was a chap named Marcel Duchamp, know what? I think she may have used "chic" deliberately, and inasmuch as it fits in with her overall theme here, I'm officially pronouncing it quite apropos. Providing of course, you feel you could possibly tolerate such a thing,.. you know, being the primary thred hi-jacker...?
