i appologize (i'm sure this topic has been covered many times). i would like to know where someone who is new to this scene, 41 year, single male would go to find my master? i live in the Houston area, and am just getting my feet wet.

My advice would be to find a group in your local area....go to some munchs....get out in the BDSM community and meet people. You would be able to find something in your area on the Net.

Master Fire Ma'am's response is your ticket to the BDSM community in Houston.

The website has the 'rules of engagement' for newbies included in it's pages, and the meeting place for introductory get togethers after work is usually also up to date.

Once you've attended a few generalized hpep meetings, the sig meetings (special interest groups i.e. bondage group, Fem Domina group, leather group, Master/slave group, TPE group, etc...) will have more meaning for you and you can select a few that you find interesting.

I would suggest going to the sig meetings to find someone with your particular fetish interests, whatever they might be.

Since many involved in HPEP have been going for years, you might want to plan to attend for about a year or so to give yourself time to meet those who don't go to every single meeting anymore.

Eros is a great group of people. They hold regular (weekly) meetings and classes and monthly parties. Their website is http://www.houston-eros.com/. They are a very welcoming group of people.

Other groups are HPEP and ClubFEM that you might be interested in. As you get more familiar with the people here there are often private parties as well. Houston has a pretty thriving lifestyle scene and there are usually plenty of things to do around here.
