Oh about as stupid as the guy from FL who picks up a CORAL snake, and refuses to let it go when it starts wriggling and finally starts biting the asshole, so THEN he puts it down and let it go.
A couple hours later the guy isn't feeling too well, makes a few calls and finds out that CORAL snakes are very poisonous. He goes back outside to look for the snake, can't find it, back to the house he goes and calls the hospital.
He is admitted and after a couple days, they run out of anti-venom so he is transported to another local hospital and receives the necc. amount of anti-venom to get better... took about a week or so.
I visited him and brought him rubber coral snakes so he would NEVER forget what they look like. I also brought him chocolate covered raspberry donuts too.
What a jerk!
P.S. I lived in Montgomery, AL for about 9 months.
