devoT -> Femdom Fiction by women? (1/3/2007 8:18:02 AM)

Can anyone recommend any good, erotic femdom fiction books (Mistress with male sub(s)) written by WOMEN, please? We prefer books to reading online, and in any case, most fiction online seems to be male sub's sexual fantasies. We'd prefer the Mistress's viewpoint, as I'd like to get some books as a gift for my wife/Mistress.

Many thanks.

There is one by Mistress Steel under her pen name.  It's titled "#18"

I just finished My Private Life (Real Experiences of a Dominant Woman) By Mistress Nan. I truly enjoyed it. She may also like it.

I'm just wondering, how will you tell the difference between a genuine female author and an author who is really a male poser using a female pen name?

You could buy my books.....

Look under my name, TammyJo Eckhart (or Tammy Eckhart or Tammy Jo Eckhart).

Easy. The same way you can tell an author who's writing from a genuine love of their subject as opposed to an author just trying to cash in on a trend. It takes an exceptional writer, particularly in the field of erotica, to disguise their gender successfully. It's very hard to disguise how our brains work. Try reading Anais Nin's work: very few males find it erotic, but most women go weak over it. Generally, women write about feelings, whereas men write about the mechanics. This is why I specified women authors: the books are intended for my wife to enjoy them, not me. I'll probably find them a bit dull. Besides, I can find erotic male fantasies anywhere. No disrespect intended to the authors, but women's erotica and men's erotica are usually two different things. My wife likes me to read Anais Nin's short stories to her: I find them dreadfully boring and don't enjoy them at all. She, on the other hand, gets incredibly turned on.

LotusSong,
Thanks, but "18" seems currently unavailable, perhaps out of print.

SBMS,
Will check this out; sounds interesting. Thanks.

TammyJo,
had a look on amazon.co.uk, but way too expensive, I'm afraid. "Amazons" was £34 (approx $65)! Thanks anyway.

I have 5 books listed on there, devoT. Try "Eroscapes" and "Servants of Destiny" for the in print books. Don't buy from secondary sources -- they always jack up the prices and frankly I get nothing from secondary sells.

If you want stories online, I believe www.akashaweb.com has them.

But as for writers being obvious about their gender...I recommend the novel She's Come Undone, by Wally Lamb. I've read it more times than I care to count and I still can't get over the fact that it's a man writing so well from a woman's point of view about her life.

I always have trouble finding D/s and bdsm stories with female Dommes and female subs written by women. It is such stories I prefer mainly because it better relates as to what I seek, my imaginings and so on.

I recommend books by Pat/Patrick Califia. Patrick Califia is a transgender man (born biologically female) so his smutty stories are kind of the best of both worlds when you talk about the way a woman's mind works as opposed to that of a man. Some of his stuff is male/female, some female/female, some male/male, all hot! I recommend "Macho Sluts", "No Mercy", and "Doing it for Daddy." Those are all short story compilations.
