Hello All,
One of my big fantasies is to go to a dungeon bed ad breakfast somewhere and be blindfolded after the first hour (for the tour of course) for the rest of the weekend.
In that I romanticize how fun it would be to say cook with only Master's instructions to guide me in my tasks & things like that.
For me it would be a weekend lesson of learning to deepen my trust in His guidance of me.
Has anyone had a real life experience where they were blindfolded for at least 24 hours?

Mmmm suzanne ....nice idea ... am going to steal it ;) I think I'd have to have short periods of timeout, for my own sanity lol, but I do like your fantasy ... I sincerely hope it happens for you one day

lol have to add ... it could be a comedy of errors, given I'm a shocker for stating my lefts and rights and I'd spend the entire time holding up my hands very un domly like, making L shape gestures... thank god the blindfold would hide my shame ;)

i've never done it but it sounds very interesting! i have been told to do such and so without using my hands or keeping hands behind my back in imagined cuffs. i have been blindfolded for a few hours. my major "kink" is bondage and i especially love the times when such has been mental bondage rather than physical.
This is a very interesting thread and i thank you for posting it.

I have to preface this post by saying it is the very first I've ever done. The title drew my eye as I was busy doing something else on collarme. Although I have never been blindfolded for that length of time, what "Have you ever been lead by Master's words and not your eyes" brought to mind was "YES! I have been drawn in by honeyed words and promises, only to ignore the truth of what was staring me in the face...what a moron I am.". This, of course is with regard to *internet* life. (YIKES!). If I could draw a parallel between what you mean and the phenomenon I immediately thought of, I would say that to choose your steps while blindfolded would not leave you only Master's voice by which to be guided: One assumes you would have at least previously seen the work space prior to the loss of sight...and if not, you have been in *some* kitchen before--you know the feel of a countertop, of a stove, of the difference between tile and carpet. You know the smell of something burning. (Let's hope it never comes to that, eh?). You know sounds---can opener, toaster. It is the addition of Master's voice to your own senses that makes it delicious--like so many things.

Not like its of any interest, but when I was a little girl, I used to close my eyes and try to walk though my house. A room I had been in countless times before was suddenly a deathtrap. A stray Lego was agony. A mis-measured space between you and a table-edge could put out your eye. That too, was great fun, in and of itself. Add the "unknown" part of a game of Marco Polo--with voices calling out "Polo!" to your "Marco!" and it sounds wonderful, indeed.

That being said, I have come out of my synical stupor with regard to perfidity and lies--and at least for a moment, remembered the magic of being lead by Master's voice.

While I'd think cooking might be a bit too dangerous (!), yes I've engaged in that sort of play over time. It can be a great exercise when building a connection or doing energy work.

i have been blindfolded for very long periods, but never for nearly as long as 24 hrs...maybe 8-10 hrs max. i can't see my Master having the time or patience to guide me through everyday service like that.

I completly trust my Master but since we don't live together it would be kind of hard for us to do this. I would not like losing my sense of sight but if that what he wanted so be it. I would trust my Master not to let me get hurt.

Hi All,
Thanks for agreeing this sounds interesting.
Again I express first I'd have a tour of the place I'd be in so I'd have some idea of the layout of the place.
Next lol I sort of hope I'd be spending a lot of my free time on this vacation in the dungeon or playing and not just doing som domestic duties all day.
Pretty much he'd just have to direct from a chair the meals and such.
I don't imagine for a one or two night event it would be viewed so much as work.
I would think a Master/Mistress would view it as more of an exercise in their teamwork, the sub's ability to follow orders and the sub/slaves trust in her Master as I mentioned above.
LOL in my imagination I'd ideally live in a sort of story of O with a big dash of Hogtied type dungeons and the Beverly hillbillies type of life if I had my druthers.
For me to play like that was my reality in a weekend 48 hour period would be quite a blast and bonding experience for me to have with my Sir indeed.

Master has had me blindfolded and such for long periods of time often times leading me around his place.. but I woudl question his sanity if he had me cooking while I couldnt see master likes his house and doesnt want it burned down... But I can say I felt a deep sence of conection with Master as he guided me around while I was blindfolded.

Steps are impossible to navigate I found. I couldn't even face them correctly so he had to keep his arm around me so I could make it up the two steps and walk down the hall without walking into the wall. Apparently I don't walk straight.

No, I haven't had that experience but its a really cool idea.

Not too long ago, I wondered if I could drive blindfolded, relying only on directions being given to me. It was one of those thoughts that really took my breath away because it was really, really scary but the person giving directions was really good at it, so I couldn't help but wonder.

I've been trying to decide where this idea as hot came from.
I found memories of my brother and I as little kids going through the pretending to be blind and still functioning in the house, pretending I only had one arm and seeing how hard it was to do stuff and things like that.
I've since before I became kinky have walked with my eyes closed when walking arm in arm with a man. I do this kind of stuff often as it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy to be led by someone knowing I'm safe and can walk with a confident stride.
Also when I play it seems way more intense and exciting for me if I have no idea what toy is going to be used. When you can hear rummaging around for a new implement it's so thrilling to be ready to try and figure out what it is.
Don't get me wrong, I hope I never have to worry about having less than good vision.
But it's so hot to shut your eyes for me as it defiantly affects how in control I feel.

Believe it or not I'd cook bacon blindfolded without fear it would spit on me as I'd hear it sizzle and drop the heat appropriately.
I'm posative blind people can cook and do cook all the time.

The thing is knowing which bacon strips are brown and which are cooked in the middle but raw on the end.
Over all I won't guarantee it would end up nice and crispy brown as it would be if I could see it but I'm game for cooking Thursday breakfast blindfolded.

Well Thursday is coming up fast but if you get right to my website and fill out the appropriate forms I'm sure one of my staff will do her best to expedite your application for entry in the Naked Bacon Freestyle Medley (Blindfolded Division).

And don't worry. There will be someone present with plenty of experience in telling when salted cuts from the hindquarter have reached the desired coloration.

Fair warning, though: the top seed isn't gonna go down easy. Not for you, that is. Well not unless I tell her to. I guess we'll just see how it goes.

I lost my glasses once and it took me three days to get a new pair. For me, that's almost the same thing as being blindfolded. :) (I keep a spare around now!)

As for the cooking part, Himself simply can't cook, but he certainly could direct me on making him a sandwich. ::chuckles:: We haven't done more than long term hand/ankle cuffs, but the idea is interesting, but probably not really practicable for us. He's just not into micromanaging at all and that sounds like the ultimate in micromanagement.

Still, very interesting idea. Thanks for putting it out there.
