last night I called my brother. I was depressed and needed to talk. Basically I got the snap out of it and it isnt important attitude. He cut the call short.

I have spent dozens of hours listening to his talk. We went in circles- and as you may recall I had posted about that on this board a few times.  Also- he has stopped taking the anti depressent that he was on- that did help him. so it wont be long and he will be in deep depression. He wants the perfect life- and since life isnt perfect he gets upset.

I dislike how different we are. He insists on a 300k house. I can live in an 11k house and be happy. Every house he has lived in he has completely rehabbed. As a guest there- I feel nervous- cause I am not to get things out of place a a spect of dust in his house.

Sadly- there are not too many people I can talk to when im in need of a listener. That is understandable as friends ahve their own life.

I been wanting a dome house. Does anyone here live in one or build one?

I am retired, and on a fixed income. The world is a whole different place- where as his world is finding friends who live in million dollar homes....

I like to pay pennies and make life on it, on what others pay dollars.

I believe- current housing stock doesnt match todays post modern world. Cars are more modern then housing today. There are alot of materials with advanced applications.

Next- I am a prisoner of my stuff. Clutter. I have junk- that will make it harder to move. I cant just throw it out- as it costs to replace it.

My lease runs out in October- and I must move possibly. Thats why I am depressed. Someone said they dont get enuff sunshine in western PA. Thats where I was going to go. Now Im wondering about southern PA- as it is closer to Baltimore airport- which has cheaper airfares then Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg.

Im so lost.

Western PA is not a good place if you have SAD.  But there are things you can do to combat it.  (tanning beds, light boxes).  A change in location will not assure you of preventing depression or SAD.

we actually have about 25 posts over this topic on another board....

i NEED alot of light.

True Chicago in winter is overcast...but it's such a great city!

I guess you have to take the good with the bad.  I like the summers in western Pennsylvania, I lived for 18 years in the midwest and it sucked, hot and humid, no let up in the summer, no cool evenings.  I like the changing seasons.
