GoreanGuy -> collar tags? (1/4/2007 4:40:51 PM)

I didnt know where to post this so I figured here might be a good place

does anyone know where to get specially made collar tags? I had bought 2 from a pet store online. but they dont specialize in the type I want. I was thinking about having like a flower or something that had a symbol on it for a kajira

I know some stores often have vending machines for making your own tags. Im not sure what shapes they usually offer but do recall a small variety such as bones and hearts. Or perhaps http://www.nameyourgift.com/pet_tags/flower_pet_tags.htm would do the trick for you.

edited to add that was the first non-uk site that was returned by googling for     flower shaped pet tag

Dear GoreanGuy, Ladies and Gentlemen;

I do suggest that you make an inquiry at a 'Label' and 'Stamp' web site.  Artistic Design comes to mind as they make 'dog tags.'

Also, do make an inquiry with "specialty" or "novelty" spots.  Trophy shops as well.  I would also look at "Gardening" sites on the web as they may have flower tags for what is growing in their row.

I do not recall seeing flowers as a 'design' for anything in my equine equipment shops.

With livestock equipment, such as for cattle tags--I'm not certain if they would carry flowers but, perhaps give you something to work with and perhaps engrave a design into the metal of the flower you speak of.  The same with canine collar tags--nothing says that you cannot take a disk of a collar tag and have it engraved as a flower on one side and etched with your words on the other side.

I would also look at 'key fobs' or 'key rings' for the designs you seek and perhaps luggage tags as well.

Just some thoughts.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
Lady Hugs

My brother has a dog tag engraving machine and it can also put some designs on them, I don't remember if there was a flower but if you are interested, let me know on my CM email.
He is not aware of my "interests" [sm=flying.gif], but I can find out the information and take it from there.

ok Hugs I think I confused you,so to clear it up I will describe what I was thinking

the tag would be in the shape of a heart and it would have the words on it and like a flower or something under the words, not the tag in the shape of a flower

You could go to a jeweller and commission one?

Dear GoreanGuy, Ladies and Gentlemen;

Then I recommend Pet Smart, Canine food and supply shops and the like, where they have heart shaped dog tags.

Engravers to put the design into it, may look into trophy shops as they engrave awards and such, with names into the tags.

It is too bad that I do not have the metal stamp collection, where one held a design and hammer the end as to impact the metal.  Sometimes using "C" and "O" patterns like flowers could be made.

Good luck!

Lady Hugs

Aside from the excellent suggestions and offers made so far, how about buying a blank tag and printing the design you want on a transparent sticky label, then simply sticking that to the tag?
