I found this post very enlightening. I do believe I lucked out that my first slave, who was career military officer, was and still remains my slave. The downside to this realization is that.. perhaps I wasn't that good.. but that my slave was just that "trained" from Uncle Sam. I'm chuckling at myself :) But then, he would not have had the respect to submit to me if I was a slouch :)
I agree that military trained slaves are the best.
