FR: World of Silence, consider what makes you feel good, consider what you look good in, and wear it. You will do fine. I rarely wear leather to scene events. First, I got tired of realizing in my 20s that I was in the "Dom" uniform: jeans or leather pants/boots/white shirt/black leather vest. It got silly. Second: I'm a big man. As my beloved brother used to comment (he was a skinny little sub gay boy who could wear anything) "when you talk about getting a pair of chaps, cows in 8 states faint." I worry that with too much leather I look like an ottoman. And not a Turk, a footrest. To a scene event/party, I wear: suits. a tux, if warranted. Nice black pants. A silk shirt (black, white, silver, tan -- depends on my mood and my laundry). (Might I interject that in my experience, there are few articles of clothing that women consider sexier than a good silk shirt, and after a scene, when she's naked and a bit chilly, take it off and drape it over her shoulders. SCORE. There, I've revealed some of the deeper knowledge to you all. But I digress.) Archer said it: If you look impeccable, you'll be noticed, and admired. (and I wish I could carry off that leather armour Archer wears...I'm thinking of getting some. Not for a fetish event, but for my annual law firm partnership meeting where we divvy up the spoils of war from the past year. I need a whip too, now that I think of it *GRIN*) E.
